    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

About a month ago I had bought a early 2009 male albino boa. Absolutely beautiful animal. Upon first inspection he looked very healthy, no signs of mouth rot mites or anything out of the norm. I already had his quarantine enclosure setup and ready for him for when i got home. His quarantine enclosure is setup up in a small room next to my office which is on the other side of the house from where the rest of the herps are kept. I personally quarantine all my new herps for a min of 2 months to be extra sure. After about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of having this awsome boy i started to notice little black dots that I hadnt seen before. **** he has mites. I dont know how I missed that for 3 weeks but at the time I had no one else in quarantine so the only explenation is that right before i had bought him he was washed down really good. Mites are extremely hard to kill and get rid of entirely. After a few days of treating the new guy I think i have finally rid him and his enclosure of mites. Thankfully I quarantine all my new herps or else I probably would have been treating 80+ enclosures in the room he is destined for.
