In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Why?

Why did I waste my time putting perches in the cages (because they used them all the time in their last cages). These, they haven't used yet...except occasionally while shedding, or when trying to stretch out to see if I have food. Instead, both the male and female use the cord for the radiant heat panel as their resting place.

LMAO, because you loves them and enjoy spending time putting together useless things?

Beautiful animals, though.... ;)

probably the latter, lol. I have some smaller diameter perches that might see a little more use, I just haven't gotten around to putting them in yet...maybe during my unexpected vacation I can put that on my to do list

It's just something about heat panels and carpets I guess.

somebody should tell him that savannahs aren't climbers...I think he forgot to read the book

Well if she's the less attractive one of the pair, how about showing us her mate?

cuz his cage is on the bottom of the stack, and he is up in the same position so he didn't look much different, lol. Definitely not real thrilled with the quality of this pair - that's what I get for not insisting on individual pics. Once I get the bulk of the bills down, I'm definitely going after a NICE pair of diamonds. I don't even think these are worth using in my crosses...they'll ugly'em too much. (I gotta get some new pics of the pair I'm growing from the last 2 clutches I hatched -05)

Told you that you could send them my way Harald!! I like that girl..

My Diamonds tend to hang out on the ledges well except one of my males who sits in his water bowl or on top of his hide..

Those perches look to be the right size but they don't swing like a cord does. Maybe hang the perches from wire so they can swing when they want to ;) Randy

Actually the cord doesn't swing - it goes on a slight diagonal to the the left rear corner of the cage, then out the back. I made the hole a fairly snug fit, probably about 1/2 inch down from the top, and wrapped the cord in plastic ivy to disguise it a bit. They pulled the cord down just enough to sqeeze themselves in there.
When I put the new (smaller) perches in, I will have a few angles/joints for them to use...my other arboreals like that sort of thing.

Harald, My Huge Boas try to use their cords as perches. I think it is some thing about
Pulling perfectly secured wiring loose that thrills them? I have tried several diffrent ways to secure the electrical cords & have no clue how they can get their FAT hinneys
under it to pull it loose again.
I have tried putting in climbing branches they simply ignore them.
OH WELL ...........Such is life as the Mommy of herps (or Daddy)
LOL
