In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I want to get a new snake pretty soon. I just moved to texas from Ohio and had to get rid of my 2 year old corn, and have had two since ive been in texas and they keep dying on me. I want to know what is the better snake to get now. I want one that doesn't bite too often, likes being handled, and is easy to care for. I'm thinking Children's Python, Kingsnake, Or a corn if it would be better. Any suggestions??

Before jumping right back into things - why did the 2 snakes you've had since you moved die? If there is something that you need to be doing differently, you should figure that out before acquiring another animal.

If you can't keep corns without them dying, I certainly would not get another snake until you figure out what you are doing wrong. Corns are about the easiest snake to keep so you must be doing something very wrong unless by coincidence you keep getting sick animals.

Slow down

:iagree: with Mr. Moore here Marc, you need to step back and figure out what happened that caused two of the easiest to care for snakes to die in your care before you even think about attempting to get another snake.
How about telling us everything about the care your were providing and where you got the Corns that died. Perhaps we can help you work out what went wrong and how to fix the problems.

"Better" is also a highlys subjective term, making the basic question difficult to answer without knowing a lot more about thwt a person is looking for in an animl.

It's not like im new to raising snakes or anything i've had plenty that I had to give away when i was in Ohio like a Western Hognose and a Burmese python, I wan't allowed to move with them so i had to give them to my friend. I didn't really like the BP that much because boy did it pack a punch when it bit me,but the hognose was cool i'm just asking you all wich is the better snake to get, I received my whole refund from the guy who sold me them at the show because he said this is very common

You are 14 and you had a burmese python...That does not sound good at all. What responsible vendor would sell a burmese python to a 14 year old??? It sounds like to me you were never responsible enough to aquire a burmese python. Youve had 2 of the easiest snakes to care for die, and this burmese python is still blowing my mind.

Maybe a leopard gecko or maybe you should not even have any reptiles. Harsh I know, but come on, you need to do you research before you get a snake the doubles in size every year.
