• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I let dog back in from backyard. All of a sudden here come this guy. Dog was like, WTF? One of the cat's went into hunting mode and wife took off like a rocket! Luckily this little guy rested on a wall quilt which is mainly different shade's of brown and looked it over a couple times before I seen him. Got him back outside unharmed. I have 2 or 3 bats that live in tree in backyard. If I go outside at dusk they circle tree for 5 min's or so before taking off.

Yeah, if a bat flew into our house, you would probably hear Connie's screech all across the country as she broke every world record for the broad jump and 100 yard dash off of the porch.

Many years ago Connie and I were walking down a path in the New Jersey Pine Barrens when out of nowhere two birds came directly at us at high speed. They were apparently fighting among themselves and didn't notice us. Connie sure noticed them, though. She let out a scream that covered every possible frequency of the audible (and then some) spectrum. It sounded like it started from her toes and went all the way up through the top of her head. I don't know what that scream did to the birds, but we both sure had throbbing headaches and ear ringing for the rest of the day. My guess is that a bat would give us a repeat of that performance, and I would be using up my remaining stock of Excedrin.
