• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have a 2 1/2 year old albino California king snake that looks like a traditional albino ( red eyes, white skin) except the banding is a brighter white instead of the traditional yellow that you normally see in an albino. It is a pale white with bright white bands, has anyone else ever seen this?

They appear brighter with my flash on the phone but in the Sun or normal light they are very light I have looked all over the Internet and I have not found any of the king snakes that were albinos that were this pale in color. Thank you for your help

That looks almost identical, thank you for posting that I looked all over and never saw another one. I don't think the California kingsnake was introduced into the wild over there so I'm assuming that got loose from somebody. I kind of suspected that that might have been the case with mine although mine was not found anywhere near residences that's still not to say it wasn't turned loose or got loose. Thank you very much for the help
 
Heck, years ago I found a DOR striped California king snake on route 90 between Jacksonville, FL and Lake City. Anything is possible these days, it seems.
 
Yea I want to say that this was definitely someones pet that got loose. Albino specimens rarely get that big in the wild as they stick out like a sore thumb to predators. They will also exhibit that pinkish color until adulthood which will slowly start to turn white. This one appears to be in between the two phases.
 
Upon probe sexing it is a male, last week I caught a beautiful large female that is a dark chocolate Brown with beautiful bands so I am hoping to breed these at some point
