    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm still new to this site and am not sure if this is where I'm supposed to post this but, I purchased a wild Guyana about three weeks ago from reptiles-n-critters (I do NOT recommend) and she is very malnourished to the point of seeing every one of her vertebrae. I've tried live and F/T of every size and she will not have any of it. On a brighter note shes very docile for a 5 plus foot wild boa and I have no problems handling her. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions I could try before I take her to my vet.

Matt,
I think you would have the best luck posting in the Boas Discussion Forum (located at http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=263). I would have just moved it there; but your stated displeasure of the company you purchased from makes it a bit iffy...that sort of thing is generally restricted to the BOI. (Its a bit of a double standard, I guess, as people routinely mention companies/breeders when showing off new animals in the discussion forums). If you are just looking for helpful hints, repost in the linked forum (I've left this up so you can copy/paste). You can still mention the company, if you want, but please leave out the comment about not recommending them.

If you choose to post on the BOI about your experience, please review the rules for posting (http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8880)

Have you contacted the seller to let them know of your unhappiness with the condition of the animal? or to find out if it had fed for them (and what it ate)?

Thank you for the link I will repost it without the recommending comment. No I have not contacted the company because the first time I ordered an adult female but was sent a male juvenile. I explained to them I know that mistakes happen and did not wish to send the juvenile back due to very bad weather and would just like a discount or at least just have the shipping covered for the correct snake. All Of a sudden there was a price raise for the snake and they wanted me to pay even more than I had paid for the juvenile. So after a month of negotiating I settled on a price that was decent but I still lost in the deal. So by contacting them about this it would be a waste of my time. Less hassle for me to take her to a vet

I've closed this thread, as it has been reposted in the Boas Discussion Forum.
