In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Will it be ok???

My little Willow is coming along great!

Shed shed today and got weighed on empty!

She is 62 grams already, it's so hard to believe.

Here she was then:

That's awesome news!! I'm really glad to see how wells she's come along. I JUST hatched a tiny yellow belly, myself. I actually just cleaned the vermiculite off of her and got her into a moist, humid tub and thought about "Willow". Opened my laptop and saw there was an update! Maybe that's a good sign for my little one!! Hope so. She looks "dehydrated thin"...and I already lost one after I cut the eggs. Only three left out of a small clutch :(

Have you ever popped or probed Willow to confirm that she's a girl? (If you said that already, I missed it.)

She's freakin awesome!! and her pattern is fantabulous. I can't wait to see what she produces. I really think my albino male is the daddy. I've got one of her possible step brothers here with a similar pattern.

Thank you all so much, I was so scared and to be honest I didn't think I could do it at all with this being my first time with snake eggs, I've only owned snakes for a few months!
So in all truth if it wasn't for all of you and the detailed tips and help she might not even be here. So we are both thankful.. :)

Yes Auntie Melinda, I do think your male albino was the daddy. I did have some albino babies that didn't make it.

I def. do plan to keep her. But if you want to take her for a month or so you can have pick of the clutch next season (if I get a few albinos lol)! :D

I'm glad she is doing well for you! My little pipsqueak never looked back after his first meal either and has already gone to a new home.

Amanda,

I didn't see this when it was first posted (baaad me!) however I enjoyed reading the entire thread. Isn't it amazing what a little hope, patience and really good care will do for a wee one!? Congratulations on your nurturing of this baby!

Well it's been a loooooooonnnnng time lol, seems like 2 yrs almost..
Anyway I wanted to leave an update for those of you who cared and took the time to help me and Little Willow..
The pic's I posted in 2010 are gone and off here now so I'll add a few of her when she hatched and one I took today!

I'm not sure if she should weigh more and be bigger but she eats every week, I think I just don't feed her big enough rats maybe...

And NOW..

:) Yeah I wanted to thank everyone who got involved, stepped in, and helped! If it wasn't for some people here she probably would not have made it at all..

I just wanted to update this :(
We had a very bad storm that hit here in WV..
We ended up with over 4 feet of snow and was trapped in our home for over a week, we went without Power for about 14 days.
We were running out of propane and Kerosene in our heaters so I had to box up animals to move them closer to the heat all in one room.

I had just fed the snakes like 2 days before the storm hit us..
And.. :( my poor poor baby Willow.. I fought so hard to save her life when she hatched and most said she wouldn't make it (with all of you helping) we saved her and I thought she would be with me till she died of old age.. My heart is sooo broken..

Anyway my Willow regurgitated her mice and the next morning she was dead, without warning. :(
The day after other snakes did the same but they lived.
I guess it was the lack of heat, I did what I could, I did try..
I lost other pets, and also had to give some away as soon as we could get out of the house and find what few people did have power and heat..

I will forever be saddened and scarred from her loss, I would do just about anything to have her back, I would trade 15 other animals here to be able to hold her again. And I will never allow myself to get that close with another snake.

She was the only PB that I have ever hatched and will probably be the last.. I will never again have a 100% het albino..

R.I.P Willow... You are soooo missed and were loved so much, I'm glad I fought to save your life, you were so worth it and I'm sorry I couldn't save you from the 2 week blackout of 2012...

Thank you all for helping me save her tiny life in the beginning and caring so much..
