    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Will it keep you from attending shows?

With us it will probably depend on the month and supply of dragons available at that particular time. It will definately make us reconsider calculating potential revenue versus travel, table cost, gas, food, and time spent.
 
The price of gas keeps us from doing a lot of things. Though for a show, not really going to stop us there.
 
Gas prices have never kept me from doing anything. I just can't see not living my life because of .24 per gallon. I lived in Florida during the hurricanes and even though gas was really expensive at the time (near $3.00/gal) and hard to come by, I still went about my life. I guess it depends on personal factors as well (finances, etc)
 
You are correct, I think there is a thread around here somewhere about this.

My normal routine is two significant field herping trips a year, then many day trips, and some overnight impromptu "let's get out in the field" trips.
Shows, I always hit one of the mayor ones down south, and one up north, as a minimum. Preferably, I try to hit several, and at different times, so that I am hitting the beginning, middle, and end, of the season.

We're over $3 where I am, it's about 3.08 for regular (as of yesterday), depending on how high it goes, it will definitely affect my year.

Field herping-Texas definitely out, possibly Az as well. I will still take the two trips, but may end up being the regular stomping grounds-mojave, or maybe down Anza-borrego way. The day and overnighters, will still probably go, but they'll be a lot more local.
Same with the shows, I will still hit the 2 major shows, but may have to decide which times I want to go, and some of the extras may be out as well.

I went out after I wrote that post and it's $3.15+- at most stations. On the news they showed a station down south where it was $5.06! that was for full service, but still that is crazy :nuts:
 
It probably will not stop us from vending at the monthly shows we attend, but I am pretty sure it will impact the number of customers through the door.

Seems to me like the high gas prices could have been predicted years ago had we been aware of the situation that would exist in the middle east today.
Can you believe how much $$ that Old Fat Bastard from Exon is going to get in retirement?
 
Gas prices are insane.

Here in Wa. state prices are 3.06 per gallon....but I won't let that stop me from going to the shows as a vendor to a few small ones and as a customer to the two 'bigger' ones in the northwest.
