In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was gonna keep the snake myself but needed the cash,,, I only charged him 1300 shipped and even gave him a male hypo for free!! .

well, paypal looked at all the info i provided and sided with me. so im gonna let it go for now

If you come on here, make a charge against someone, and then provide no details, it is difficult to know whether the buyer indeed got a sickly critter or not. Paypal has little snake expertise.

That's the same snake in his pic as it is in yours. That sorta amorphous saddle right above the tail shows that.

Any one smell bull crap along with the regurge?

There is a Bill Corwin as a member here, is this the same person or different?

What are you talking about? You wanted me to post something you wrote? Why can't you post it yourself?

I guess I will start again. I bought this female moonglow from Edward Dicarlo for 1300.00. He said that it was a fine example of a moonglow and I needed one to ad into my leopard boa projects.
On thursday when it arrived I opened the bag and saw a very thin moonglow sitting next to a regular boa that he also send and this regular boa looked like descent weight for its age.
I could tell that the moonglow wasnt eating or was reguging....She is 22 inches long and weighs 57 gms the other one born on the same day was also 22 inches long but weighs almost double the moonglow at 112 gms.
He has on his web site in his written terms that the buyer has 24 hours to contact him with any issues or complaints. Well I contacted him with in 10 minutes of opening the box and let him know my issues and complaints with the moonglow.

This is the email I sent him:

>>I just got the snakes and Im very disappointed in the moonglow....You had in the ad that it was a very nice example of a moonglow feeding on adult mice, but it comes in as a poor example of a moonglow because she is skin and bones looks very much like she is either not feeding or regurging her meals. The male from the same little is nice and thick for his age just the way i expected her to be.
let me know whats up with her...

he wrote back:

>>The male is not from the same litter. I provided you with there feeding
records. Every meal thT was marked was consumed. Shes never regurfed!

He never really tried to work anything out. The next day she fed so I told him if she hold the meal down she should be fine and will fatten up but the next day she regurged and I sent him a picture of it. I know above that he tried so say that I switched the snakes but you can clearly see the saddles are the same on the picture he took and the picture I took... I tried to tell him about the legal written terms in his website and how he needs to honor these terms and he wrote me back two words .... Whatever Man!

So I went to paypal and filed a claim but they dont do live animals so I am out of luck there...
SO BEWARE you buy a sickly or bad animal from someone and you pay thru paypal. tthey wont get involved and the buyer will lose his mony every time..They took me that they wont even look at the facts they wont do anything with live animals..
So they didnt side with him as he thinks they just dont do live animals period.

So watch out from dealer like Edward Dicarlo that wont stand behind their animals or honor their written terms. Its snake sellers like him that give online reptile selling a bad name...

Not that I think that animal looks healthy in either pic (advertising pic is a bit thin and in your pic she appears to be impacted, which could explaining regurging), but why in the world did you attempt to feed a boa the day after you recieved it?

Baby boa in both pics does not look overly thin, just a baby starting out.

I agree with not "overly thin", but it is pretty skinny. How old was the snake when it was sent? I would think that if it had more than a couple meals in it, it should have filled out some. The pic looks like a "first shed" pic.

My answer:
He even put in the ad that it is eating adult mice....I didnt know how old it was or I would have questioned that I assumed that is was a larger snake..Also the snake is not impacted it is full of air in that picture....its 2 months old and its first shed was month and a half ago and only weighs 57 gm. My baby CA hypo blood boas weighed more than that when they were born a month ago...

I little info on me....Im not a newbie to reptiles or reptile breeding as most are out there so to shed some light on my expertise in the reptile field....I have been breeding and keeping snakes for over 40 years and worked in three major zoo reptile depts including the Dallas zoo Reptile dept along side Dave Barker now of VPI Pythons and a good friend of mine....

Any healthy snake including boas will not have a problem eating the day after being shipped in warm weather...Its not a good practice if the snake was shipped in the cold pf winter..

I fed it first see if it eats or not and if it did so see if it held the meal which it didnt....The buyer in snake deals are between a rock and a hard place.. if you wait to feed it and it regurgs like you know it would then the seller says you had it for a while so you made it sick...Now if Edward tried to work it out and said that just keep it and work with it and then let me know how she is doing and if not good I will take care of you....But Edward had no intention to work with me. He had the snake on sale from 1500.00 to 1300.00. Probably knew that it was regurging so lowered to price to move it...

Bottomline:When I very first saw the snake I could EASILY tell that it wasnt a feeder or it was regurging and it turns out my initial observation was correct! I bought a sick snake for 1300.00 and with in 10 minutes of opening the box sent him an email that i was not pleased with the snake. His web site terms for the buyer is to let him know of any issues or complaints within 24 hours which of course I did. Then he is dishonest again trying to bullshit everyone into thinking I switched snakes....He does NOT even honor this own written terms and burns me for the 1300.00. Then has the nerve to post that Im a BAD GUY!!!!

He needs to make this right! If the snake is fine as he puts it then he needs to honor his written terms and have me ship him back the snake and refund my money!!

Feeding a stressed out baby boa, of all things, is poor practice period, in my opinion. You let them acclimate and destress, then feed. It could very well have regurged just from you attempting to feed it so shortly after shipping. This is not something that will not be easily known, if at all.

Also, did you just say you knew the animal did not look right when you first saw it as in ... when you first saw it in the ad? The way you worded that is really confusing.

If you knew it was a gurger why did you feed it? Aren't gurgers supposed to kinda rest a bit before being fed?
