In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

to make a VERY long story short, im on the phone w/ my bank right now.

worm man claimed they refunded me last week, they still havent refunded! They flat out lie to you! They lied to me last time also, told me 3 times my ordered shipped and it never shipped!

my bank wants me to fill out an affidavit for fraud.

worm man took money from my bank account on THEIR error, without my permission, 24.50! And messed up on an order that I placed-i never recieved the phoenix worms 9.95. So by my calculatins, they owe me $34.45, its not alot to some people but when you live on a strict budget and that money can go in your gas tank, or towards a bill or something.. you really feel it!

it must be nice to run a business where you take peoples money w/o permission, and on top of that paying for an item and ya dont get it.. You call over and over but no one answers, only to place an oder, not for help!

I have full emails to and from them for everything I say.

This is my second time ordering from them, both times have been bungled up. I thought I'd give them one more try, you know, a benifit of the doubt.
Wow.. what a mistake!!!!

I will never ever ever order from them again!

I will now avoid them at all costs- literally!

I have heard nothing but bad things repeatedly about them. I never suggest them for any kind of feeder buying to anyone.

well they did call me today, yes.. an actual phone call, the same day I emailed them!
I had some excuse given to me about their machines not processing the refund last week. She said I should see it in my bank tomorrow. We will see. I hope its true, as I hated contacting the BBB and, I didnt want to drag my butt to the bank to file a fraud report but I would have if I needed to-its not alot of money but when you add up all the not alot of moneys-it IS as a whole, alot of money (lol) and IMO no one should just let it go.

anyway, im crossing my fingers hoping they arent as bas as I was thinking-still wont order from them again tho LOL

Will let ya's know how it goes

You need to add your full name, either in the body of the post or the info on the left, or the mods will delete your posts.

Yeah I agree, I was a cutomer witht hem for about 2 years and it was just a big hassle. While the orders were generally ok, when there was a problem their customer service was the WORST!!

Best way to go is get roaches and breed them ;)

We ordered from worman only one time. It took over a week and we paid for priority mail. The worms were nearly all dead when they finally got here. We have not used them anymore.

We ordered 1000 crickets and 250 Super Worms (and some dry goods). The order came in and…all the worms were dead, black, decaying. Then a day later, before I had the time to call them about the problem, another order of 1000 crickets and 250 Super Worms arrived unannounced, this time everyone was healthy.

So was the double shipment just an odd coincidence that worked out in my favor? Or did someone realize they had been shipping out dead worms and then tried to make good with another order? Either way I did get what I needed in the end...but maybe I'm just lucky (this was my second situation like this with them).

I've ordered three times from wormman.com

-Two of the three times went smoothly, no problems
-The third time the majority of my mealworms were dead. I emailed them asking for replacements and they sent them out.
-I am now waiting on another order from them, I don't expect anything to go wrong, but if it does I'll be back here to post about it.

Glad I read this thread. I was just about to do my first order with them next week for some worms for the crestie. I'll look for another supplier now. Anyone want to suggest a reliable supplier for phoenix or silkworms to me (hopefully it's okay to ask in this thread, if not please excuse me Mods and feel free to delete the question).

Well the refund did go thru, they gave me the full amount that was due to me.

It took a little arm pulling but they did rectify the situation.

I still wont be shopping there again.

I have ordered from them on a few different occasions and have had only positive experiences. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

Never, ever will I do business with them again either...

I just finished up a month-long ordeal trying to get 1000 1/4" crickets. First time they supposedly shipped them out, I never saw them or received notice from the shipping company, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked them to reship. This time, they actually send them out (1.5 weeks after the re-request), and they all arrive dead. By this time, I'd had enough of them, and send them emails telling them that all my crickets arrived dead, not to try shipping again, and that I would like a refund. A week after I send that email (4 weeks after the original order), I receive an email saying that they are shipping me the crickets again. I email them back and tell them I will be refusing the shipment when it arrives and expect a full refund for the price of the crickets. Finally I receive an email from a real person, and they say they will issue me a refund, and that I can keep the crickets since they already shipped. Now 5 WEEKS after the original order, I finally received a live shipment of crickets, and my refund (the crickets died two days after I received them).

Never, ever again...

I used to be a loyal Wormman customer back in 2000-2003 when I had lizards. They were the best around I'd found based on customer service, fast shipping, and great products.

So when I needed a few things for arachnids and wild bird feeding I never thought I'd need to research before placing an order again. I mean, what business could let themselves sink so low in just a few short years.

Placed my order on 12/11, it shipped (based on post mark on box 12/14), it arrived on 12/18.

Order# 48429:
1000 mealworms (medium)
250 waxworms
1 qt waxworm substrate
1 gallon mealworm substrate
10 B. dubia roaches

When I opened the two boxes containing the order, I am missing the 1000 mealworms. I've left an e-mail, and no reply back in 2 days.

After reading ALL of the negative replies after placing my order, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I don't care to pay my hard earned money only to be jerked around.

Take your business elsewhere. It's not worth the hassle.

I didn't even attempt!

I had his myspace profile added to my BD lizard's page (yes, he's got his own page). I later was going to order Phoenix worms and roaches from him, and asked for advice. Never heard a word. After almost a month, I've removed him from the friends list. :shrug01:

I figure, if a supplier cannot provide customer service/ info, that I don't want to try to buy anything from them and I surely don't want to promote them. How hard is it to at least respond with a nice "I'm too busy right now with processing orders to go into detail, but research (roach breed) as a possible roach breed to consider colonizing for your needs." ? Ignoring potential customers isn't going to expand your business. :NoNo:

I'm actually considering www.mulberryfarms.com now for my order. They provide a large list of feeders (crickets, Phoenix, roaches, silkworms...) and I've heard a lot of folks have had good dealings with them. (I'm searching the BOI regarding them before I order. Just in case. Nothing yet...)

What bugs me the most about it is they have such a good selection. I see so many things I'd buy but due to their reputation I won't.

Selena, I too have heard nothing but good things about mulberryfarms. They are expensive, but worth it, apparently. I will be buying some phoenix and silkworms off of them soon.

Thx CurtisF

Actually, so far, MF has the cheapest Blaptica Dubia roaches I've seen, and their Phoenix worms are fairly within range (I've been looking for 2 months). They do seem a bit high for silkies, but I haven't researched those. I would've liked to order from WM, for the same reason you said, but I was turned off by his disregard of my request for product info. As someone in customer service, (retail and healthcare) I give a lot of slack to folks since I know what it's like.
I'm on quite a few of the boards out there, and all over the place people have raved about MF. I even found Jak's favorite treats there for $3 less than where I've been getting them. Unless I find a better/cheaper place, or hear negatives, I'm going with them.

ive purchased from mulberry farms and had a terrific experience. i ordered silkworms, hornworms, and phoenix worms. all arrived alive and in good condition.

as far as purchasing dubia goes, you can usually get them cheaper through private breeders (people that have breed them to feed their own critters, and have more to spare). i purchased my colony from "LindsayMarie" on this board.

Here's an old ad of hers...

I have been using the cricket factory now for 6 months . They also sell worms. I have not had any problems with them. When they say priority mail your order arrives 2 days later
