• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

wormman.. avoid the hastle!

And another one...

I'm a memeber of a Pagona (bearded dragon) mailing list, and WM's name popped up. One of the list member's is looking for a different supplier because WM bailed on her. She didn't receive her shipment and wouldn't you know? No help from him. I've since posted that the list members might use fauna's BOI to gauge companies, etc before dealing with them. I hope she gets her money back...

I buy my phoenix worm from http://www.phoenixworm.com/servlet/StoreFront and my superworms from superwormfarm.com...I have had excellent service from both and decent prices. I have been dealing with superworm farm for well over a year and never had an issue with them. I have order from phoenixworm.com a couple of times and had excellent experiences and great prices.

Well as an update to this, I've sent them 2 e-mails and a form I filled out on their website and nothing back in a month's time. I've tried to call, but no one ever answers the phone and I never did get any voice mail.

I've requested a refund and they just can't seem to get back with me. I guess I'll request a chargeback on my credit card that I used to place the order.

I have made two purchases from them. Both dealings was Very bad, No customer service at all, No one would return my phone calls.. I will not try them again!

I have been ordering Phoenix Worms from them for the last few months and every purchase has been flawless. I have emailed and received prompt responses and the Phoenix Worms have been alive and sized properly. But seeing that so many have had problems, then it is obvious that they need to work on their consistency and customer service.

Apparently people either have a really piss-poor transaction or a really good one. And if you're one of the unlucky ones, you're SOL.

On 1/11/07 I initiated a dispute through Paypal, to try to get my money back, as I looked back and I did indeed pay through them.

On 1/12/07 I was contacted by "Pat" at Wormman. They apologized profusely and wanted to rectify the situation either by resending the meal worms or issuing a refund.

Considering I never got the first order and they didn't seem concerned enough to rectify the situation a month ago, I requested a prompt refund. Funny enough they never replied back nor did I receive a refund.

On 1/15/07 I escalated it to get a ruling by Paypal. Within the hour I had a ruling, "Refund Denied".

Well either Paypal can't read or they just don't care. They said that complaints of quality or quantity cannot be disputed, only matters of shipping when the product doesn't arrive. Which to me, this clearly falls under.

So I call up Paypal, which takes around 5 mins to get ahold of a real person and the lady tells me they can't do anything because "its not an Ebay transaction, they don't have authority to make a privately owned web business to issue refunds, and that this is clearly stated in the User Agreement".

Well according to their User Agreement in the section under "13. Disputes between Buyers and Sellers - Buyer Protection Programs."

#13.1 Buyer Protection Programs. If you buy an item using PayPal and either do not receive the item or receive an item that you believe is significantly not as described by the seller, we encourage you to open a Dispute with the seller in our Resolution Center. By doing so, you will initiate our Online Dispute Resolution Process—a step-by-step system designed to facilitate communication between you and the seller in order to get resolution of the issue. If your dialogue with the seller fails to produce a satisfactory result, you can then escalate the Dispute into a Claim that we will evaluate for reimbursement under one of the following programs:

1. PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy - Our best efforts program to reimburse Users for losses only to the extent we are able to recover the funds from sellers.
2. PayPal Buyer Protection Policy - Our program to reimburse Users for losses for up to $2,000.00 USD for eligible items purchased on eBay and $200.00 USD for all items purchased on eBay except those items identified below (see section 13.9 to determine whether a transaction on eBay gets $2,000.00 USD coverage or $200.00 USD coverage). This section 13.1.b is effective for items purchased on or after 01/17/07. To view the PayPal Buyer Protection terms and conditions for items purchased prior to 01/17/07 please refer to Exhibit A below.
3. Buyer Protection for eBay Express - Our program to reimburse Users for the full amount of losses for items purchased on eBay Express.
4. Extended Buyer Protection with PayPal Credit - Our program to reimburse Users for the full amount of losses for items purchased using the PayPal Plus Credit Card or PayPal Buyer Credit.

These programs only cover payments for tangible, physical goods. All other payments, such as payments for intangibles, for services or for licenses and other access to digital content are not covered by any Buyer Protection Program that we offer (but may be covered by Chargeback rights).

Am I missing something here? I ordered something, it was never delivered, I want a refund, clearly their agreement says I'm entitled to it, but yet they say otherwise. Granted its only $12, but its the principle of the thing. Its flat out stealing.

I agree it is principal. If they ripped everyone off that ordered look at the money they have made. All they sent to us was dead worms . They did not ship priority like we paid for so they made money shipping. But they lost us as a customer. I use www.cricketfactory.com now for 6 months and could not be happier with their service.
