Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi everyone. I just felt it was my duty to post here exactly HOW I received my money back from worm man. Story time.

Oct 31: I ordered 1,000 crickets for $23.90
I waited...and waited...and waited. I understood their whole "Going through new management" Thing so I gave them a bit more time then I would otherwise.

I submitted a support ticket to them with no response. It simply just disappeared.

So I see you have yet to ship my order. I understand your going through management changes but...I have ended up spending so much more money of crickets from the petshop that I shouldn't have had to buy. Either ship my crickets within the 2 buisness days or refund my money in full. If no refund is granted within 3 buisness days then we will have some problems.

After no response still I tried to call them. I left my name, order number, and contact info. No response. A few days later the phone is disconnected.

After waiting till Nov 16 I had tired of them hiding from me. I reported them to the BBB, Paypal, Their webhosting company, and Ratepoint. This would have never happened if I gotten a simple REPLY from them. I didn't just report them to paypal, but I filed a claim.

I did a whois on their domain. Guess who it's still registered too? chiarella, ken the supposedly old manager. Guess what else I found?

To me that looks like a personal email address. I decided to give it a shot. I mean what the heck even if this said person isn't the owner of wormman.com anymore he can atleast give me information to directly contact the new owner right?

So I sent this email. (Note I was seriously angry at the time, I needed these crickets for my leos!)

Weird that I get a response from a guy named Racquel! Being as the email address is [email protected]

Oh I should mention. He says the phone number was in use over 10 years ago, but the whois says the information was updated in March, 2007.

It's sad that I had to result in hunting down what looks to me like a personal email address. One profesional reply would have suffice, and have prevented all this from happening.
 
Worman and company are a bunch of ass clowns.. always have been, always will be. They have been proven to be liars and full of it for years now. Some of the worst CS I've ever had. Take it from someone that used to order 25k crickets a week.. I know. I took my business to someone that appreciated it.. ReptileFood.com.
 
We were drop shipping

fruitflies for them and we encountered the same difficulty. Non responsive to emails or phone calls. Its a very bad way to do business.. One gets the feeling that the only thing that has been passed on to "new management" is poor service.
 
Just an update. Even though they said they would issue my a refund it is now a 2 days later and still no refund. No reason for this as in their ONLY response email to me they said they would and should have done it RIGHT then.

I have reported them to the BBB, Paypal, and their webhosting.

This is where I am at right now with this company. It is only ten days since placed, so not sure if it is appropriate to put here or not... I asked this on 11/14/08. Only took three days for the reply.....

to long. Neither Ken, Raquel, or the new management are in any rush to resolve any old issues more then 24 hours. I sent their new management an email from there website, and called as well.. I also sent Ken an email and I know for a fact that it was received and opened.... No response there either... I was just looking for information about whether they were going to continue their fly sales...

Apparently, nothing has changed. My earnest suggestion would be to get your money back as quickly as possible because no one there is going to assume any liability for anything. Whats really sad is that we really had bent over backwards to accommodate Kens customers with prompt courteous attention in shipping.. Not even the simplest courtesy of responding from Ken or There new management... Its there loss..
 
Well, one month later and still no crickets or Phoenix worms from WormMan. I have sent my last and final email to them requesting refund. I did report to BBB. WormMan said in my email back I could cancel and seems like they just really don't want to do that!:shrug01:

I went to the BBB to fill out a complaint and after filing a complaint I found this information about the worm man.



According to information in the BBB files, it appears that the company is no longer in business. The phone numbers the BBB had for this company are disconnected, and directory assistance does not have a listing for this company. The BBB's mail to this company has been returned as undeliverable. If you have an unresolved dispute with this company you may wish to seek legal advice.

I placed an order on Sep 6 2008 and as of today June 20 2009 I have yet to receive them. They have not responded to my last 3 emails. It is time for a BBB complaint.

I placed an order with WormMan's Worm Farm on 11/9/08. Which was a Sunday. Website said orders would be processed and mailed Mon- Wed.Order was still in processing on 11/14/08. I inquired about my order and received response on 11/17/08. Stated in the process of changing ownership and trying their best to fill orders. I would have to wait until after Thanksgiving to have my order shipped. On 12/8/08 my order still showed processing.
Contacted BBB, Trenton NJ office 12/8/08.
BBB has not done a thing for me so far! I received email notification on 4/3/09 stating that the address listed for WormMan is no longer valid and mail has been delivered back to BBB as undeliverable. SO no further action can take place! Unless I have another address for them.
All this work for $31.81!:shrug01:
 
They (Worm Man) kept telling me that they would ship when the weather warmed up and since the weather has warmed up they stopped replying to my inquiries. If you look on this BOI you will see that I inquired/complained on here about them a long time ago.
 
I can't believe it but I just received my worms on Tuesday! I sent a very strongly worded letter (on 6/20/09)and pointed out that I had been a customer for 6 years and I expect a refund or I expect my order to be filled immediately. They repplied on 6/23/09 with this email;

Hi, Marc

I apologize that your wife's email was not repsonded to. We have a new customer service email address, and the emails are still being transferred over.
I'm sorry your order was never filled. We do have MEDIUM mealworms available now and will ship the order this week.

Thank you for your patience and once again, thank you for your order with us. I'm sorry this was not resolved sooner. We have been trying to update our site as well as take care of issues that were left unattended to.

On Tuesday 6/30 I received my mealworms. The bad thing is that I also placed an order from LLLREPTILES for 1000 meal worms so now I have 2000 mealies and only 4 leo's. O'well atleast I received my worms. I guess I have plenty to start breeding now. I will set up 7 or 8 collonies and see where they go from there. Last time I did this I ended up breeding around 50,000 mealies a month. Guess I might have a few extras for sale in the future.

I will never order from them again and I highly suggest that everyone else does the same.

If you are sending them emails using an email address that they used to contact you with then you will probably not get a reply. It looks like they cloak their actual email address so try going to their site and place an inquiry into your order. That appears to be the only way to actually get in contact with them.

The email address that shows from them is [email protected] but I never get a reply from that address when I try and email them.
