    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah I had ordered 1000 crix and 1 vial of fruitflys. Well I get the crix on time( they should warn you about opening the box, I had expected a seperate container on the inside and i had about a dozen crickets fly out). Well in the box no fruitflys. So i call them up at about 2:30pm and the lines busy(but voicemails there but that sux, so). So i call back 4 more times during the day and on the 4th time I leave a message explaining what happened. The voicemail says they'll call me back, but didn't. Well I had also sent them an email that day. Well friday night i get an email that says:

According to our records, it was shipped on 10/12, but since you still have not received it, we will be re-shipping that for you on Monday. Thank you.

Yeah great day, they should have shipped those fruitflys out express on friday, well oh well at least they corrected it. Or so I thought. .....
Monday (today) rolls around and I get a phone call. It's a voice message via At&t from wormman.com that asked If got my fruitflys yet and if not to call them back.
DUH!!! If you weren't going to ship them until monday, then of course friggen NO!. Well I should cut her some slack, she sounded like a southern blonde. Man, that really whigs me out.
well so i called the company wich was usless of course (left a message), and then i wrote them and email. I'll see how this turns out, they must think I'm trying to screw them out of a free vial of fruitflys. Man, I'm ticked.

Just a warning to anyone out there.
Anyone else have problems with wormman.com??

There are a ton of posts on here about them. I have even posted about how crappy there srvice is and how poor the quality of their product is but people keep buying from them..

That really offends me, I am not blonde but am southern and just to let you know, yes wormman sucks but I really doubt that is because of a southern blonde, or western, eastern, nothern person of any hair color.

I had problems with serveral orders from them then had to order form them 1 time in desperation and had no problem, I still only go back if I have to for something.

I jsut do not see what a hair color and Location of a persons accent has to do with the screw up.........

I'm sorry. Yeah I maybe immature because I find some blonde jokes funny. This may be another stereotype, but i think most southern people are really nice. I also know geographic locaction doesn't have an affect on intelligence. I life in Wisconsin and you should see some of the dumb-arses around here. I was just ticked off at the moment. I'm the stupid one because i didn't read the rules of the BOI, didn't realise what i posted became permanent.
btw I was born in OK, so i guess i'm an okie

You may find more sympathy, and more help, if you utilize the "Search" feature conveniently located at the bottom of the screen.

You will almost assuredly get more useful responses if you tone down your pugnacious and arrogant demeanor.

Worman is hit or miss

Ive order several times from them and they got it right 2 out of 3 times.They also sent me some extra crickets.
Anyone hear about the dead blonde they found in a closet?
She was the 1987 winner of hide and go seek.

yeah, I have had a few problems as well. I once accidently ordered one box of 1000 crix, but paid for 2, it took about 3 weeks to get my money back.

The second time I ordered 1000 crix again (Sept 4th I think it was) and after a couple phone calls, and about 5 emails, in which each time they responded they would say they are sending them out, I finally got them about 1 1/2 weeks ago. A month to recieve an order that should have taken 2 -3 days is not good bussiness. I doubt I will work with them much again on my end.
 
New email from these guys

Well I sent an email yesterday, asking why they called me and whats going on. Well Today I got this email:

"Actually, your fruit flies would have been shipped separately from the crickets, as they cannot be shipped in the same box. Again, I'm not sure why you still have not received them, but we will be shipping your fruit flies to you on Monday. Please let us know when it has arrived. Thank you.

This has got me wondering:
-I got this message today (tuesday). Does that mean they will ship next monday or did they ship yesterday? I guess I will have to email them again.
-well why couldn't they be in the same package? They had sent me 2 boxes that where attached, one had the crix, the other had the gutload. I have no clue why the fruits couldnt have been in the box with the gutload.
- I didn't ask why I didn't recieve them, I know it's because THEY DIDN'T SHIP THEM!!!
 
Id rather not say how I know this but I do know that they do not sell their own crickets, they do resale for a cricket breeder.

I also do the same thing for a company (hint hint), I get a discount at the end of the month based on my total orders and sometimes just break even

But my cicket supplier does not have fruit flies so they come from a different supplier

Check your boxes when they arrive and see if they have 2 different return addresses

If I wasn't already a little upset I'd find this kind of exchange to be really comical. A "No, we messed up (AGAIN) so we'll send them today" would've been more appropriate.

Finally...

I finally got them today ( well technically yesterday ).
1/3(at least) of the flys where dead. I Had to feed them all to my peepers. Hopefully there are some eggs in the culture because i didn't see any larvae.

Ordered : 10-10(sun)
Recieved: 10-22(fri)

Last (and only) time I order from these guys.
