Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

As Sammy pointed out, it would be completely appropriate for Mark to be paying himself a reasonable salary out of the proceeds from a 501c-3 animal rescue. Unless he is independently wealthy, he needs to eat and put a roof over his family's head.
I deal with corporations of this sort with fair regularity and this is almost always the case. If the adoption fees and donations are the main sources of income, they would have to be more than just nominal to reach the break even point.
Unless some real evidence of wrongdoing exists, I agree that this was probably an unnecessary attack.

I do not know Mark. I may have met him at the Taylor show. mark I am sorry I did not get intouch with you. I need to email ou to talk about a few things.

I know john. I see him every month. he is good people. I trust him and if he says something I take that as what it is. I have not read the whole thread. But I do see a friend getting upset as it seems people are now questioning him.. john is one of the good guys. Like said if he says it I take it as that.

Since I doubt it will be forthcoming from anyone else, I would like to say that I am personally sorry that your name and business were maligned and you were insulted based on nothing but the misconception that you stating that the Rescue was "Not For Profit" and that it was also your livelihood were mutually exclusive. I think it has been made clear that this is not the case.
As Gary stated earlier, John Apple's endorsement of you speaks volumes. Him supporting you is more than good enough for me.

This was about some total criminals and turned into a one man lynching of a very upstanding individual here...hell one of the victims a few times of the very crooks this thread was about... hell an individual that had a hand in the recovery and return of a substantial amount of the stolen animals...

As a breeder I have failed to show a profit out of the red, last year I was 10k in the hole, and it might be the same or close this season. I do work a full time job to support my family and myself 8-10 months out of the year, except in breeding season. I can not expect my animals to pay my keep, so I guess I should just scratch my breeding projects, as well any job I should work to open a non-profit rescue to support me.

I have not seen any indication that Mark is wallowing in excess. I called around to some folks I trust and everything about Mark came back as Mark being nothing but an upstanding honest guy. You act like Mark is getting rich doing this which could not be further from the truth.
Speaking of truth, are you not on this crusade because a fellow rescue in Michigan came crying to you about him? And the person who runs this other rescue is a good friend of yours? You are blinded by your loyalty to this friend Bobby and you are not looking at this in a fair and unbiased manner.
