    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yeah!!! Autumn is coming!!!

Even though it's still in the low 90's here during the day, I can feel the change coming! The nights and mornings are cooler, the leaves are just barely beginning to take on a twinge of yellow/red, and I'm seeing the mums starting to appear in the gardens!

My daughters and I have made our new fall wreaths, and the Halloween plans are starting to take shape. I'm still debating my own costume, however.... so suggestions are welcome!

Does anyone have any great Fall traditions that they're looking forward to?

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Hard to explain I just love the "look" of the landscape. The colors, the sound of leaves, pumpkin patches, and all the festivals. And last but not least. Halloween! I think the best time to visit the midwest is during autumn.

Yippee I can pull out the flannel shirts!!

(Curious, do you have those Halloween shops that pop up temporarily in shopping centers? I love stopping at those.)

Sorry forgot about that "problem" others have to deal with. I live in an apartment. I know my parents curse the large maple trees on the neighbors property.

Don't get me wrong. I like the fall. The colors and smells can’t be beat. I don’t like the acorns the size of golf balls pelting me in the head. The hood of my truck looks like someone took a ball peen hammer to it.

I actually enjoy gathering the leaves and even do my 97 years old neighbor's property too. It's just discouraging when you work all day and wake up the next morning to find it looking like there were little gremlins putting every leaf back in place during the night. Here the city comes and picks up the leaves. That irks me too. I'll bust my butt for two weeks piling up leaves the 100 feet from my neighbor's driveway to mine and they'll come by and suck them up in 15 minuets like it was nothing.

LOL yeah talk about trees pelting you. There used to be a large walnut tree in the corner of my parents yard. Man now those things would hurt.
I have mostly maples, pines, and a magnolia tree by the apartment.
