I posted yesterday that our leo suddenly started "buckling" her right front paw when she put weight on it...and our vet is away till end of the week.Hubby called from work (at 5 AM!!!...I almost killed him! He's a cop and ANY call at that hour is BAD news! ) Anyway he found a fellow cop w/ an iggy who had a herp-vet near him and he'd call to get us an appt.Well...it was 1-1/2 hour drive but the good news is she is OK! He thinks it was a sprain/strain for pulling shed or playing w/ clutch mates. Minor swelling but joint moves well (...even though she didn't like it!) and didn't appear broken. Does not look like MBD as it's not mushy and there were no other signs.Thank heavens! She will bunk alone for a few days to rest and he suggested a warm soak daily for 3-4 days.
He said she looked great but did suggest using Nekton S in the water.Said it was a vit/min. Dusting mealies is not very effictive because it wont stay on them. Has anyone heard of this Nekton S or the logic behind it??? Just curious. He seemed well informed and handled the little lady very well. He was also nice enough to tell me come whenever I can get here...he'd find time for me...even though I had never seen him before.
All in all...a great day!
