In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks
:) :eatsmiley

I keep mine at 80 on the cool end, 140 basking. You can get away with anything about 120, but mine love it hot.
I find this the best care sheet. http://www.kingsnake.com/acanthurus/care/index.html

Wut size tank do u have him? I have mine is a 10 Gallon with a 75 wutt bulb. Right the temp is about 110. Wut is the best subtrate to have?? I had jungle mix and he keep gettin dirt on his eyes so i changed it to carpet untill his eyes clear. Wut about night temperature since it night right now(asap)??

is yours a baby? I have my adults in a 4'X2'x2'. Thats what you are going to need in less than a year. I keep night at around 80. Also, I use 1' of dirt/sand mix in my adult cage, but for babies id use a few inches. Also, I feed crickets daily, and mice on sunday for adults. Be prepared to use a lot of feeders.

yea mine is a baby, about couple of months old.(3-5) I had the tank already thats why i put him in there for now until he starts growing. Is you night temp, room temp or you have a night bulb?

id buy at least a 20 gallon, maybe 30 until he is an adult. I use a ceramic bulb at night. Ackies are very active, and need lots of room.

So u think the 10 gall is small for him, i can swat my snake with him. So u think a 75w Nigth Glow bulb show be good for the night?? And do u think ZooMed Eco Earth and Calci-Sand Cage Litter would be a good mix?

I have another question. I just got my ankie and i threw in some crickets and his ignoring them. Is it because his in a new encloser. He warms up and explore the cage and don't bother with the crickets. I was just wondering if he needs time to get use to the new cage?? If any1 can help, i will appreciate alot.

thanks

he will eat again once he is in his new enclosure for a while and gets used to his new surroundings. You could always throw him a pinky to get him stimulated, they very rarely turn them down. how big is he??

his only few months old, where i got him form they fed him med cricket every day or every other day. I say his probably between 2-4 months olds.

I just checked my temp for my ackie and it 122.3F at basking area and at the cooler end of the tank is 80F

those temps are good.has he been soaking in water at all??? Usually soaking helps them rehydrate and gives them an appetite.

right now is under a rock and when his roamin around the cage he usualy gets wet. But should i soak him down or should i just leave him alone??
