We have a very neat and unusual Yellow Bellied puffing snake (Pseustes sulphureus) available. This is fairly rare species that does not come around often. It is a field collected snake from Guyana. We received it in our May 2015 shipment. It appears to be healthy and it has not struck at us at all. Fairly tame snake that has a neat hood when it flares up. We only have this one available. Does anyone know if there is a difference between a spilotes and a pseustes sulphureus.

They have been recently reclassified and placed into the Spilotes genus. Pseustes sulphureus was its former scientific name, the new being Spilotes sulphureus.
