In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yellow belly male up for sale again!

There is no pretty sure that he is a genetic Yellow Bellie when you have no clue to what one really is. No matter how you keep trying to make it sound like you have not implied it was a Genetic Yellow Bellie, you did just that plain and simple. hmm I am pretty sure but not sure. That makes absolutely no sense.

Again in case you missed it....no one is saying you can not sell your normal animal for what ever price you feel it is worth. Yes there are people all over KS that are selling animals for all kinds of prices. If you look on the BOI you will see that a person who is trying to sell a "Pastel" which is clearly not one has been brought out.

hmmm you say reticulatus74 said it was one....who is this person? And he said this a year ago? Well a Year ago very few people knew what a Yellow Bellie was and I guarantee if this animal had been one and he knew what one was he would have snapped it up.

who really has "yellowbellies"??

I really didnt' want to throw my hat in the ring on this.......
But.....
I see ads for Yellowbellies from Jared Horenstien, Ben Siegal, Rob B, and others.... what makes those "true" yellowbellies, and this gentlemans not?
I mean, have those other breeders/dealers proven out those yellowbellies? They have Lucys?? They can ask tens of thousands of dollars for theirs, but this gentleman cannot?
Me, I don't see anyone selling true yellowbellies, unless they have hatchling lucys sitting in their collection.
This tread is a joke.

Actually it makes perfect sense, I am saying that it could be, but I am not guaranteeing it. The guys name is Sonny, I am not sure of his last name though. Email him and ask him about it. If not many people knew about a year ago, then how would he have known what it is? I tried selling this guy a few months ago, and I had not seen any for sale at all, yet in 3 months five or six people suddenly have them? How strange is that? And I do not know how anyone would pay 12 to 25 grand for a yellowbelly, considering how normal they look. Rob, don't you have anything better to do then critisize? You did this last time as well. But remember last time how all of the people I have sold reptiles to went against you, which is probably what will happen this time. I have never stretched the truth and sold anything for more then it is worth, I am sure you have though. The people that I have sold to know this. And thank you Ron for your word in this mess.

well....

I'd just like to add that I posted a thread on kingsnakes ball python forum to get some other peoples opinions on this male and they all agree that it is definately not a yellow belly. I also emailed a friend of mine (Steve Markovich of Serpents Den) and he also agreed that he is in fact a normal. He is a very nice normal though and I may still be interested because a freind of mines birthday is comming up and i'd like to get him a nice normal male. I'd be willing to offer you $75 for this male if you are still interested in selling him. I am more than willing to drive to where you live as it's only a few hours from me to pick him up or I could meet you at the hamburg show comming up. I'm not trying to insult you or anything and I am completely serious its just a completely normal looking male ball python is certainly not worth $400. Let me know either way. -Diana

Ron,

You must not know about the Yellow Bellies either. They have been proven dominant and on a few occasions "ivory" snakes have been produced. The ones that Jared, and Ben have for sale are proven Dominant snakes from proven lines (not saying they will produce an "Ivory or Lucy". It is just like a pastel, when you see a pastel there is no denying it is one. The yellow Bellie is the same thing, when you see a real on there is no confusing it with the animal this guy is advertising. Whether or not you feel the ones that are being sold that are true Genetic Yellow Bellies are worth the money is irrelevant but they command that price and higher and the sellers get the prices for them.

Steve,

The reason you did not see many people with them before was they were waiting for their babies to hatch. Now the babies are hatching and they are selling them. Anyone including yourself can look at the pictures of a real Yellow Bellie and see it looks nothing like your animal. Also this time it is not just me that is telling you that your snake is not a yellow bellie or did you miss those other peope saying it as well?

C'mon, Steve, if you weren't comparing it to a real proven Yellow Bellie morph, why did you mention that it was "$400, not $10,000 like on kingsnake."?

If you want to sell it as a morph, prove it out.

If you want $400 for it, get someone to buy it based on appearance, but don't try to tap dance your way through it by saying "it might be....." and indicate people could be pulling off quite an investment coup.

Get off the fence. It is or it isn't, there are no "maybe"s involved.

actually there is a maybe with this one, I or you do not not if it is a true one, or if it isnt. Think about it. I thought about proving it out, but I do not have the time. I am working with Peruvian and columbian boas right now, as well as crested geckos and leopard geckos. I am not trying to sell it as a true yellow belly. If I was I would be asking more. It may be real, but most likely a wannabe. Most wannabes of anything are more then this, so either way it is not like I am trying to rip off anyone. It is not like I am trying to sell something that I am not sure of for 15 grand, so why does it bother you?

Steve

...

Well, my offer still stands. If you "aren't sure" it's a yellow belly than sell it as a normal. The same thing goes for things like hets with no paperwork. There aren't any "maybes" in the reptile industry. No "inbetweeners". Unless it's exceptionally colored or patterned, no normal male is worth $400. I don't in any way believe you were or are trying to scam anyone, deciding whether or not a ball python is a yellow belly is a sketchy subject right now since so many people are in fact scamming people with normals, but if you aren't 100% positive it's a true genetic yellow belly then, in my opinion, you should simply sell him as a nice looking normal male and price him around $75-$100. I know you thought $400 was a fair price since you aren't sure and possibly thought about how, for example, possible het pieds can go for as much as that, even if they end up being completely normal after trying to prove it out. You have to keep in mind, though, that a yellow belly is a visible ball morph and it either is or it isn't. Anywho, sorry for the long post. Let me know if you are willing to sell him for what he is and I will more than liekly take him off your hands. -Diana

OK Steve I have read all through many threads and in just about every one there is Rob talking about everyone. I mean what kind of guy spends his days bad mouthing every ones animals and how they are being shipt. I am sure if it was up to him he would bad mouth every breeder until he is the only breeder left to buy from. Good luck on selling your ball steve.

Thanks Damian

hey thanks

yeah i know what you mean, last time I tried to sell this snake he made a big deal about it. I am asking $300 plus shipping now.
