Just wondering if anyone might be able to offer any advice on getting a pair of Yellow Saharan Uros to eat greens. Got them 2 or 3 weeks ago. Went and looked over the markers and I'm about 90% sure they're a male/female pair. And to the best of my knowledge they've always been housed together. I've got a crushed up seed mix of lentils/split peas/ millet that I keep in a bowl with them, and they'll eat it daily. The issue I'm having is that I can't get them to touch greens. I've tried different kinds of greens, I've tried offering at different times in the day, tried leaving two separate bowls for feeding, Tried leaving greens in over night. Tried taking out the seeds for a few days and just not having any luck with them. Like I said, not so much worried that they're going to starve because they're definitely eating the seeds when offered, but I'm worried about them getting dehydrated. They have multiple basking spots, multiple hides both on the hot and cool end. I read through Deer Fern Farm's care sheet and they have a small Rubbermaid container with a tube coming out to simulate a "burrow". Setup is 2x4. We had issues with the cats staring in at them a little two much, so I've hung a towel over the front to give them privacy. Greatly appreciate any tips anyone can offer.
