    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

YIKES!! Collecting stuff can be expensive!!

I just started a small collection of cute teddy bears to decorate the living room. I looked around and some of the 'artist' bears I thought were really nice that are all fancy and made with mohair and have cute handmade outfits and some of them sell for (I am not joking) eight hundred bucks!!!

People collect lots of stuff that one would think would be pricey like good golf clubs, or jewelry, and so on. But BEARS?

What is the world coming to?

i know..its insane...its like people out there know that there are people out there that do happen to collect random things and are willing to pay the price...when i was a kid, my dad bought me a stuffed cute frog for $50....a stuffed toy...even i told my dad that was too expensive...but then again...im an only child..haha

Sounds like you need to collect something else. LOL
Look at the price of roses when Velentines day is nearing. They get costly too.

Well, true. But the Rules say Y'ALL hafta buy the roses for US..... :hehe:

A friend of mine purchased several Longaberger (SP) bears for over $50 apiece....I told her she was nuts, lol.

Then again, we've collected a lot of NASCAR diecast cars over the years...I started adding up what we had spent on them over the years, and I stopped because it was just too scary!! Right after Earnhardt's death, I paid over $250 for what was pretty much the only car of his we didn't have................am I nuts too? Probably. LOL.

I keep my chicken collection cheap, however, lol. My Mom got me some beautiful hand-painted ones for Christmas, though.... :)
