Just picking up the baton...
It seemed such a shame to waste all your good groundwork John!
This guy IS fun to play with!
He's got back to me with the same emails and photos of 2 pythons he sent to you. I've sent him a bunch more questions to keep him occupied - what I need now is some inspiration for bizzarre (false but real sounding) ball python vairants I can ask him to locate for me..... All ideas welcome!
I'll be away for the next few days so if anyone wants to email this guy as a member of my "Club" to ask for more information, feel free (remember we are meant to be in Australia, where there are, as you all know, very few local snakes....
):

Hi there,
thanks for the mail., my pythons are hand raised and well tamed with all papers, has been fully checked, have a good relationship with other pets.closed bonded and vet checked with up to date vet records.they are ready to go for adoption with free snakes cage.i am looking for a good home and will meet up any requirements if need to be shipped.their weights are 442g and 507g and each are a little over 2 ft. long, will come with a cites permit.they ages are 10months 12months and one year old respectively.has been around children, eats med. size rats They will be going out for adoption and the fee is 300$ and you need to pay is the shipping fee . I am giving them for adoption because i am here for an assignment and my job requires a lot of time so i immediately realized that they are going to be lonely and as you know they are very delicate creatures and need a lot of care and devotion, that is why i have decided to give them out to a loving and caring home where they will be loved and will be given all the time they need, so if you are interested.get back lets see how they get home..where are you located and How soon do you want the snakes?, how many? and if needs to be shipped, then get back to me with your full address and the address of the closest airport to your location so that i should contact the shipping agency right away for flight reservation as i will be shipping them from the Republic of Cameroon . get back asap. attach to this note are pictures of the pythons i ope you will like them.

Hello Ashly,
Wow, these are beautiful snakes. I feel sorry that you have to give up your beloved pets, it would break my heart to give up snakes I had hand raised.
I have to present the pictures and details to my club and see how we can match the right snake to the right owner, I don't want to start new owners with snakes that are complicated to feed, etc, so as many details as we can get on each snake will help us.
Can you tell me which snake is what sex?
Do you keep them together or in seperate cages?
Are these snakes old enough to breed?
How have you need feeding the rats to them? Live, dead, frozen, hand fed, fed in cage, in feed boxes etc....
Do you know how much the shipping fee will be?
One confusion - you say you have three snakes, but you only sent pictures of two. Can you please send the third one's photo and also let me know for each snake which sex it is and which one is 10 months old, which one is 12 months old, and which one is a year old (isn't this the same thing?)
Do all the pythons in Cameroon have colour markings like the ones you have? Are there different colours we can get for our breeders to try?
Maybe I'm showing my inexperience (never having imported animals before) but what is a cites permit?
Regards,
Helen
