    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

You sure are cute, but what in the world are you? (Morph Identification Please!)

This little hatchling has unknown origins, genetically - I did something I said I'd never do, and purchased him from a chain petstore. He was amongst a group of normals and aneries and otherwise 'common' morphs, and stood out as particularly unique, so he came home with me.

I've been scratching my head ever since as to what his morph is. The colouration is very, very pink and orange, way too vivid to be a bubblegum snow or something of that variety. No reds, no yellows, no browns or blacks at all on em. Really, the closest thing I've found is a hypo opal, which seems too high-end to wind up in a petstore clutch.

So please, tell me what you think this little guy might be! I've attached a few photos of him on the lovely ladyfriend's hands for your approval :)

I can certainly take some photos of the tail, just a moment.

The only reason I didn't think it was either of those was because this guy has no red on him at all, something that seems pretty prominent with both reverse okeetees and amelanistic.

It's definitely an amel. A reverse okeetee is just and amel okeetee. It kind of looks like a shed is immanent.

Here ya go, took another pic of him just in a cup

Alrighty, thanks a bunch for the input :) Personally he just looked too... pink, I guess, to be an amel to me. He had his first shed (since I've had him) on Thursday.

Just double checked Ian's site and it could be an opal!

Opal = Amel + Lavender

If so, it will be all white with nice peachy spots/blotches when it grows up. My line seems to be mainly peachy pink more than white but that could change, only time will tell for sure.

Is that what the hatchling looks like NOT in blue??

If that animal is not in blue, it could be an opal possible.

Check out this site for more morph identification:

Pretty little thing either way!

Thanks! And yep, that was just after a shed, if anything he's gotten lighter so far :) I appreciate the links, I'm really curious to see how he turns out in the long run.

Nice "Candy Cane" Nancy!

I think time will tell more what that lil guy/gal is. It does have that peachy/pink tones so no matter what he has, it is a looker!

I looked over all our amel and RO babies over the years and I cant find one like his. It can always come live with me...lol

Wellp, we had a surprise shed, and it looks like this boy is really darkening - guess he could be an Amel after all. The colour difference between here and his last shed is really crazy -
