So alright... I didn't want to go public with this until after I finished seeking legal help... But now since she wanted to accuse me in public, I have no choice... I posted this pretty much exact thread on the local Texas forum when she posted her snakes for sale so that my friends and local Texans would know about the situation... I edited the language due to different TOS over here and added more info with pics and emails for the BOI specifically... This information has been known by several people for months now, and they will also be informed about this thread so that they can attest to the facts that I am stating here have not changed since I gave them information to them...
Yvonne and Corey Carpenter were staying with us from mid-late October 2009 until June 2010... They have several snakes and other animals that they kept in our house.... Including several birds, rabbits, rats, turtles... A few of the rabbits were also mine and 2 of the breeder rats... We trusted them with the alarm code to our home, which has since been changed, as well as access to pretty much everything in our home including, food, reptile food, free range of the house inside and out provided it wasn't messy, etc... They also had stayed here by themselves without us here several times while we were on vacation to Florida, etc... Pretty much everything was alright until about the time they were getting ready to move out and get their own apartment... We had an agreement that we would pay our mortgage and they would give us a check each month for the bills and that was a fair rent compromise... We got our monthly checks from them for the bills up until the last 2 months of them being here... We had never had a problem before with anything money wise or splitting rat orders, etc., so when Yvonne asked me if she could give us a couple checks for the remaining bills so that they could pay a deposit and get a few things, like a washer and dryer, for their trailer, we agreed but told them that we deff. needed to get at least a small payment on each pay day until the balance for bills was paid off... She agreed... Well, they moved out early one morning before Ryan and I even woke up, didn't give us a forwarding address and didn't give us any checks... I asked her several times for check payments for the bills and always got a "I'll get you one" response and then soon, no response at all... the bills for the 2 months that they owed was approx. $900...
Not only that, but as soon as they moved all their stuff out we noticed SEVERAL areas of damage and disgusting things in our house... There was rabbit pee from their rabbits on our brand new carpet that will not come out with even 5 steam cleanings... there is sprayed rabbit poo and pee on one wall in my garage that they neglected to clean... There is a LARGE section of carpet that was obviously, purposely cut out of the back corner of the closet in the room that they were keeping their snakes in.... Like... I'd say 1ft x 6inch section obviously cut out by a knife and then a section taken out of that section for use? somewhere else... There is also a part of the main carpet in that same room that looks like something very heavy was placed there and cut a perfect square out of my carpet... It is still semi-attached, but it's not something that we can just easily fix, it's in the middle of the room... Also, there were half of my rats missing that I didn't realize until I went to feed my snakes and a lot of my feeders were gone... Approx. $100 worth of medium, large and XL rats... There are also several dents, dings and screwed up spots on my walls from where something? large was moved and they were not there until after Yvonne and Corey moved in and left... Mind you, they moved in not even a month after we bought this house and we have an inspection report stating that none of this damage was there prior...
Since they have moved out and stopped responding to my emails about bills and damage payment, approx. $900 in bills (I'd have to look at my sheet to be sure of the exact dollar and cent amount) and the at LEAST few hundred dollars worth of damages, I have sent several emails, text messages and letters, none of which have been responded to... And since they have moved out, instead of using their "extra" money to pay us back for our bills and damages, they have bought SEVERAL more snakes... Not cheap snakes either... Several boas like a couple jungle females, a ghost female, an anery, a couple other random snakes... Also a chinchilla... They have also sold a few snakes, so I know on top of her job, she had made some other extra money that could have easily paid us back for our bills they owe... So pretty much, they have been spending our bill and damage money to continue their obvious addiction and have attempted to avoid us at any costs...
I was also informed that they are trying to, not publicly but have in "reserve", frame me for "stealing" one of their snakes????? They have a video and picture of one of their snakes in one of my snakes bins so that, I'm guessing, if I ever brought this up, they would have something "on me"... Well, those of you that know my collection and know me personally should know that I would never steal anything... I am not that kind of person, and honestly, why would I bother? The snake they are claiming I "put in my snake room" is a small hypo jungle boa worth maybe $300? Come on now... Seriously? If I wanted a jungle boa, I would BUY ONE... It's not like I can't afford to buy an albino jungle or whatever else if I wanted one... Just a stupid attempt on their part to lie about something like this... But felt it should be addressed in case they ever tried to bring that against us...
I bring all this up now because they are attempting to get their name out there as a "good breeder" when they are really just thieves who have outstanding debts to us... I thought they were our friends, but apparently they aren't and never were since they feel they can take advantage of our kindness of letting them stay in our house for that period of time...
They have a couple ads on Fauna right now... They also sell locally on Killeen and Austin Craigslist and have a website started... I will be bringing this to the BOI, but I wanted to let y'all know this first since y'all are local and they have been trying to do more local sales than online up until now... If anyone wants proof of the damage, emails, etc. I will provide it... That is NO PROBLEM... I have brought this up to other trusted friends on a couple of the other forums I'm on so this is known by some ppl... I was just trying to wait until after we got this resolved in court to bring it up... But I fell y'all need to know...

I am emailing to see what the status on our payments for bill money are. I understand that paychecks can be slow sometimes, but we had an agreement and expect it to be followed through with. We fronted the money for all those bills and the money you paid us for them paid off the charges for the bills on the credit card. The amount, again, for the months of March and April are a total of $897. There are also a few other issues that I was not going to address because they did not seem important at the time. However, due to the fact that we have received zero payments toward the bill money that we are owed, I will let you know the other issues that we found. In the bedroom which you were staying, the carpet in the doorway is frayed and was not before you moved in. There is a square shaped gash in the carpet in the room where you were keeping your snakes. It looks like something heavy was set there and cut a square in the carpet. There is also an entire section in the closet where an approx. 12inch long by 4inch wide section was purposely cut out of the carpet. We found part of the section sitting on the floor behind the white rack. there was also another piece cut out of that section where it looks like it was cut to patch something or create a barrier between something. The entire underfloor with tacks is exposed in that closet. The yard where the rabbits were was left in total disarray. There were piles of feces left all over as well as a large blue tub full of rabbit feces and mess. The garage where the rats and rabbits were was not cleaned. There are feces and urine stains on the wall of the garage. Also, there were more then half of the rats taken from the rat freezer. A lot more then the share that you guys bought. There were none of my large rats left and very few of the colossal and jumbo rats left. We can either come to a monetary agreement on these damages and issues or you guys can have these issues fixed. I hope we can get all this straightened out. If not, we will have to see where we stand legally. Thank you.
