In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was wondering if anyone has used or is using Zoo Med's Leopard Gecko Food. I am currantly Feeding mealworms and will probably continue to. I used to feed T-Rex Gecko Grub but can not find it locally here.

Thanks,
Jeff C.

The stuff you are talking about are those little dried flies, right? I have used them before, and my geckos either would not touch them, or hated the taste of them.

I had one albino who would eat anything out of a pair of tweezers, dead or alive. I gave her a chunk of that leopard gecko food, and she bit down a few times, shook her head, and spit them all out and wouldnt touch them since. Thats just my experience. if you can get your geckos to eat it and like it, thats fine, just make sure its not fed as a staple. keep feeding mealworms and other types of feeder insects in addition to it. Hope this helps! :)

I have had the exact same response as Melissa with the dried flies. Many of my geckos who would take food from forceps would, however, accept the canned crickets and mealworms that I offered on forceps. These worked great a couple of times when an insect shipment was delayed. I wouldn't recommend using them as a staple though since feeders that you've gutloaded will be much more nutritious.

I was afraid that might be the case. I just wish I could find some one here that carried the T-Rex Gecko Grub. When I tested it, back when it first came out, I used 15 animals all but 3 readily ate it. Then 2 out of the 3 switched over after some coaxing. One of the girls I tried on it had been very thin for over 3 months and never put on weight after laying only two clutches. I had tried pinkies, wax worms, super worms all with no luck. After being on the Gecko Grub for about 3 weeks she was back up to her normal weight. I really liked that stuff.
