    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How old are you?

In the other thread thats linked above it says that you are 16,Yet now you have your age age 26.Can you explain that?
And if you lied about your age....what else have you lied about?
 
Here is my problem...

In a current Petopia ad, they have an adult male Axanthic for sale, that has been in captivity for only a year. This means, they probably never saw it as a baby, which is about the only time you can tell if it is an Axanthic or not, with any amount of certainty. So you have an adult male for sale that you guarantee is not just a normal, but you have done no work to prove it out. These are the kinds of ads that make me cringe. There is no way to tell for sure that a WC animal is an Axanthic, especially if it is an adult when it came into the country. It is very easy to tell the people in it for the fun, the hobby, the learning, and those who just want to try and make a buck.

Brent, assuming you are the age you now say you are...

17, that means you are a minor, and in most cases, cannot be held responsible for entering into a contract. Are the people who buy from your store, sending money to you, or to your mom, or to the store? I would be very leary of sending a minor any amount of money.

Second, on the "Axanthic," it is not about what I think, and your response of fine, just do not buy it, is the typical of the attitude of a youngster. The problem will come if some uninformed person just takes your word, buys the snake, and spends up to 4-6 years trying to prove out their new line of Axanthic, only to find that all they have been producing is normals. So what is your guarantee? Will you even be in the biz then? Will your mom's store even be around then?

A little free advice...If your store is a mess, help your mom clean it up. A squeaky clean store is a very good first step. Second, if you are going to be buying and selling Ball morphs, do it right. WC junk-let people know what they are getting. Unproven morphs-let people know that your opinion is that this snake has some of the Characteristics of (insert morph name here), but that you cannot guarantee it will prove out. If you are selling a wanna be, for a Morph price, I doubt you will get anything but the Nigerian scammers to email you. Sell a wanna be morph for a little over a normal, and you might sell some. A proven Axanthic from the Sutherland line is $800, why on earth would anyone pay double that for yours? I guess there is more than one kind of internet troll...a troller (SPELLING?) just hoping to get one bite, one newbie to want their own line of something, that they spend the huge amount on your unproven snake...

A bad rap is hard to get rid of...but the earlier you start trying, the better.

Like I said, I would never send money to a minor.

With a money back guarantee, you probably still have to be in business, for the guarantee to be honored.

A new line does not automatically call for a price increase. I have seen new line Pastels that look about average, go for the going price, or less. I have seen a new line Ghost go for about 20% LESS than proven, gorgeous, existing line Ghosts. If most Hypos were brown, or dingy, and all of a sudden you come up with a neon orange Hypo, yeah, going to be a nice find and would sell for a nice premium. However, just because it is a new line, does not mean higher price. Your snake is Unproven, meaning it is not even a new line as of now, unless you mean a new line of normal. If you bred your male to a normal female, and then bred the male back to one of the females he produced, and you got Axanthics, and they were stunning, then yeah, a new proven line of A grade Axanthics will be nice, and should bring a premium based on the work you did to prove them out. With your snake, you have done nothign but say it looks like an Axanthic. I would say wannabe Axanthics are a dime a dozen. Prove something out, then I will call you and congratulate you. What do you want me to call you now for. How much did you buy the snake for, and why not get some better pics? I just think your attitude, and your lack of knowlege, is setting you up for failure.

PLus David if you are a breeder you should know that axantic means lacking of the yellow pigment color
on a true one you can see that in babies or adults
