    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

To tell you the truth Brent, I would not doubt it if that is the case. I know animal control/HSUS here has been called about the same pet shop. IMO, it reeks with filth, as of yet they have done nothing. They are still filthy and open for business. :rolleyes:

Needless to say, I do not shop there, buy from them or sell my animals to them.
 
Well that is FL not VA and if our cages are dirty then we get fined and have to go to court so I can gurantee you that they aren't but my gurantee means nothing to you probably.

Brent, the problem with your age is two fold:

Number one, you are not acting your age, you are acting like a 10 year old. Number two, if you were 20, or 25, and put your age as 50, nobody would care, HOWEVER, because you are under age, a minor, and accepting large sums of money, it is different. You were a minor claiming to be an adult, BIG difference, big deal!

The reason Dennis had a problem with your profile not reflecting your actual age has been explained more than once. The fact that Jim's doesn't is completely irrelevant because it is inconsequential to any business transactions- just as yours will be once you are an adult. Until then, it is a very important bit of information.

Hey Ken, since turning 18 does not automatically make one into an adult, other than in the legal sense, I think your phrasing is a tad off.

Once he's 18 then his age will be inconsequential. Whether or not he is, as now, still acting like a 10 year old caught lying, which is in FACT what happened, remains to be seen.

If you acted like an adult, perhaps people would have never taken such an issue with you not being one.

However, it still doesn't change the fact that a minor CANNOT legally enter a binding contract. As has been stated many, many times before, THAT is where the problem lies. We all know that Jim is an adult. Why is that so difficult for you to grasp?

You are a minor. That is a very important bit of information which people considering conducting business of any type with you need to be made aware of. It's called liability, kid.

Jim is not a minor. Therefore, his age is inconsequential.

I highly suggest you get that chip off your shoulder before it does you irreparable harm.

You know guys, I tried to make this same point on another thread where a young girl was selling bearded dragons and got shot right down. I totally agree that a minor should not be selling anything that they could be libel for. If I buy from a young person and I get screwed then there is nothing I can do, I have no recourse. Not to mention, most teenagers (now I said most, not all), are not responsible enough to breed a healthy animal. They are too caught up in what their friends are doing then to pay too much attention to their projects. Sorry just MHO
 
I have been thinking about what many have said here to me and about me. I realise that I have let my emotions get the best of me and have said some things I probably should not have. I would like to apologise to everyone here!!

I know I am young and have a lot to learn and I know I have made some mistakes. I hope I can learn from them and move on as I want to continue in the exotic animal business and am beginning to understand how important a reputation is.

I've decided to no longer respond in this thread for the time being.

Brent I want to commend you on wanting to do the right thing, however, first you must admit your wrong doings first.

That said, did you misrepresent your animals? That would be the first step on making it back to a better reputation.

Well that says it all.... Because he said so. What a #@*ing joke. You guys suck. This site has become a venue for #@*ing up peoples reputations. If Brent is conducting himself professionally, which it seems he is, then what does it matter what his age is. Many of you people that sit there and judge are kids to me, and honestly with the patience Brent has shown, he's acting much more like an adult then you are. "Because I said so"? Real matture. :thumbsup:
