    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Luis Taracena is a bad and unreputable person to do business with. Without going into details I just want to inform my fellow snake hobbiest to run from him and do not send him a dime. He is a scam artist and does not represent his animals honestly at all. He is a liar and thief!!!!

Hi I just dont want this to become a drama series. I got badly burned from this person and I just want to put up a flag against him to inform newcomers who might do business with him Not to make that Mistake.

Debbie sorry you got taken but if your going to bother starting a thread here put some meat on its bones. Hey this has happened to most of us at one time or another and as you see by the links Harald provided your not alone . If you want to help others then tell us how he burned you so others will know his methods, if anything has changed..Randy

I send you a healthy Snake. Buyer's remorse does not constitute a reason for a full cash refund. You saw the pictures! You pick the one, out of the two females available. It was the same animal I shipped.

When you told me that the snake was sick, I offer you to send it back. You should have send it back. If the snake was actually sick, and you decided not to send the snake back, you should have take it to a Vet.

And, when you contact me, saying that the snake had die, (if the snake did die.) I ask for a necropsy. You ignored my e-mail. I ask for a necropsy because I could not believe the snake had just die for no reason at all.

1.- You want your money back.
2.- The snake is smaller than you thought it would be. (I measured the snake before I posted for sale) You want your money back.
3.- The snake is sick, You want your money back.
4.- The snake died, you want your money back.

If the snake did die, you should have taken at least a picture. Now, a year after the fact you want a credit. No Necropsy, no dead snake, not even one picture. The decision of NOT providing you with a credit, was made by all the breeders in the list that I e-mailed to you. Contact them!!! Ask them why. Talk to your friend John M. he would like to see at least a picture before he issue a credit or refund.

I still have the snake you want. But you can not prove the snake is you bought from me was sick, or that it even died. I am sorry, unless there is something I do not know comes to light, no refund or credit.

Deborah - unless you post the details of the transaction you had, and why you believe it was a bad transaction, this thread serves no purpose. If you can't detail your transaction, unfortunately no one will really believe you... it's an empty statement.

Please post details, including any email correspondence you may have had with the seller.

Me being one of Luis' ATTEMPTED victims, I urge you to come forth with what ever dealings have taken place between the two of you. Not only would I like to know the details, but if you hope to warn people away from purchasing from Luis, you NEED to post details of what he did wrong. Otherwise it will have no affect on him and future transactions.

Provide the facts PLEASE. If Luis is still burning people, holding their animals hostage, not honoring agreements made, etc. etc. etc.....Then the public should know about it. We can't base an accurate opinion with ONLY what Luis has to say. Can't trust what he says anyway, cuz he sees things in a different language or something. :rolleyes:

I can't believe your slimy, low down, lying, thieving ass, actually has the nerve to ask for a necropsy report. Did you ever provide one to Matt Crabe? You sure as hell didn't EVER follow through with the promise of posting a copy in your OTHER bad guy threads.

Man the hell up Luis. What really happened? Eh? I don't believe that drivel you posted for a moment. It sounds just like the same sugar coated stuff you fed me over the phone and in emails for more than 6 months. Now involving ANOTHER sick animal. Did you produce this animal?

What animal did you sell her Luis? Is this something you produced? Or another kid nap ee you needed to get rid of quick like? I'm sorta curious to know.

Yikes... I know Debbie from many previous purchases she has made from me, all being super positive, and I have spoken to Luis many times.. He strikes me as a semi/honest individual despite the numerous threads I have read...... I would like to know more Debbie... Thanks...

I agree that you more than semi-stepped into a pile of it there Tom. There is honest and not honest and not a whole lot of room between them.
 
Lemme be more specific..... I have read and heard all the gravy stuff... I wound up with a pair of his hets from 06 and they had the 'gray' colored dumps... Really weird to me, and I was certainly worried... I kept them 20 miles from my personal collection and eventually, six months to be exact, with high quality rodents they grew normally and starting dumping normal... I say semi honest, because I have never met the man, but we have talked, I am/was trying to give him benefit of the doubt... I guess I should just be thankful that I haven't, and also VERY THANKFUL TO THOSE; IE; R. CAREW, DEBBIE, MATT, and whoever else who has met and dealt with him for exposing issues with him... So, thanks very much to you!!
 
Here is my side of the story. I emailed Luis about a snake for sale on kingsnake. It was breeding time and supposedly the snake was of breedable age and also a poss super salmon. Luis did have 2 snakes at the time and i chose the one i wanted. According to Luis the snake was 100% healthy so I sent him the money, $1150.00 via paypal. At this time i did ask for my money back. I was new to the breeeding industry and was unaware of the BOI. Someone suggested i check it out. I did so and promptly realized(after reading countless threads on him) that Luis was someone i did not want to do business with. I contacted him about sending my money back as he hadnt shipped the snake yet, but he said he already spent the money and refused to do so. He shipped out the Salmon. It arrived, and was considerably smaller than he had stated. She was about 3 1/2 ft. Absolutely not breedable size. Which i could of lived with, but the snake was also in the middle of a bad shed and seemed to have a serious respitory infection. I quaranteened the snake and immediately got it into a proper environment. I Immediately contacted Luis to let him know that I wanted to return the snake for a refund. He told me he could not refund my money because the money was already spent for his bills. This was the day the snake came. He told me i could send it back for a credit. But at this point i wasnt intrested in anything else he had because he proceeded to tell me that someone else had the snake and it was neglected and he was trying to rehab her. He never mentioned this before I sent him the money. After a week of watching the snake daily, the respitory problem seemed to get worse. It would not eat at all. The snake was going downhill. I tried repeatedly to contact Luis and he never returned my emails or phone calls. EVER. Then the snake Died and i sent an email to Luis letting him know the snake had died. He never responded to that email either. He never asked for a picture or a necrospy as he stated. As far as taking a picture or getting a necropsey, i had never had a snake have a problem, let alone die, and wasnt quite sure how to proceed. I tried contacting Luis in every way i knew how so he could direct me in how he would like me to proceed. As i stated, he never responded to my email and further more when i tried calling him his phone # was disconnected. His kingsnake adds were off and he seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. I had no way of getting in touch with him. So I chalked it up to a bad experience with a non reputable person. Then recently i saw him posting again so I contacted him about this and he agreed over the phone to give a $500 credit then when looking at his available animals we realized the best we could do was take a $300 Guyana Female which in an email (which i will post later) he agreed to. Not what i wanted, but i figured it was better than nothing. Luis agreed to ship it 2 weeks ago and then randomly changed his mind, sending me a name dropping list of high-end breeders that agreed with him and that he owed me nothing. In the end he didn't follow thru with any of our agreed upon resolutions. And this is why I believe him to be a Liar and a Thief!

It is been crazy with work as we are under staff and there is a lot of work that has to get done.Right now it is 11:29PM and I have to be up again by 5:00AM.

For your information, I am going to Los Angeles, CA. tomorrow afternoon. I expect to return from my trip sometime Monday afternoon. I may or may not be available by phone depending on roaming charges. However I will be checking messages regularly. I do not expect to have any computer access.

Best case to ship out the Guyana Red Tail Boa would be Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. I do want to resolve this matter too. I will be in touch.
