OK where to I begin with this person. Robert ordered 2 rancos and a 2 esu thermometers on Sunday the 22nd. We were out of the the units bacause we were having a sale on them.. So I tried to ship them out Saturday but the post closed at like 10am here and I did not know this. So I get his order out today and now he has filed a complaint againt me on paypal.. Now we are closed on Saturday and Sunday and Monday of this week due to the holiday(memorial day). I just wanted to give everone a heads up, this guy is a serious pain. I finally told him to stop emailing me after is kept telling me I was full of BS and a liar.. The tracking number is 9101128882300197661601 and can be tracked @ www.usps.com Check it out tomorrow morning as it will be scanned at the post office when I drop it off and add a signature confrimation to it. Also one of the reason he said I was a liar is he thought I was MATT GOLDMAN.. Hello my name is Matt Graybeal.. Just keep your eyes open... Sheesh... Thanks and God Bless,0
-Matt

Personally when a customer becomes impatient and abusive it's time for a full and immediate refund, I deal with 5-10 new customers a week and once in a blue moon I'll get these total jerks who think that everyone is out to rip them.On occasion a shipment may get delayed for whatever reason, it happens , if they can't understand that than it is probably a symptom of a larger personal problem i.e. BIPOLAR , so instead of doing business with these jerks I cut my losses and tell them go elsewhere, customers like that can sap you time , energy etc.. and it is unfair to yourself and your good paying ,well behaving customers if you drop the ball because of some jerks demands or because you are stuck in a bad mood for the rest of the day due to some guys abrasiveness.
Personally I wouldn't take that abuse over $8.00 or $1000.00 , send the guy his cash back and tell him to get lost. It would probably be a good lesson learned on his part, maybe in the future he will be more understanding and respectful of you as a person and businessman.

It's Very Unfortunate

that there are people that are quick to call others scammers. Regarding your credibility, I can vouge for you Matt. The digital Tom's thermometer/hygrometer I received from you this past April is one of the best and cheapest investments I've made. It works fantastic for me. If I leave the door to my snake room open I can watch the humidity and tempersture drop immediately.
Your customer service was excellent. If anything, I feel bad for not having thanked you for the great customer service you provided me. So if it's not to late, thank you very much! I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.

I was afraid

when I saw that post on Matt Goldman MGR it would confuse some "new" people here. Anyone who has been around for a while would not make that mistake though because your reputation is impeccable

Sorry to hear about the bad customer. I have ordered from you 5-6 times and have been happy everytime. Some people are so quick to jump to conclusions and get defensive. Given the situation, 9 days seems a bit too quick to place a Paypal complaint to me.

LOL yeah it was actually 5 days, I am closed on Sat and Sun and on this week Monday.. I have talked to paypal several times and they are going to hook him up with some fees fr filing an invalid dispute...

I'm with Justin on this one. If they make that big a stink that quick it's time for a hearty heave ho, a refund and a "don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out," and move on.

Ha....I was not even figuring that you were closed on Sat,Sun,and Mon. Geez....he really jumped the gun on that one. I would be doing the same exact thing w/ paypal. Good luck with all of that.

I have no problem ever vouching for your character Matt. Your communcation and energy spent to keep me informed when my thermostats were back ordered was more than sufficient to get the job done. Some people you just can't please.

I would have simply sent the impatient fool his money back and told him never to contact me for anything ever again. Period. Someone so eager to initiate a dispute has serious issues.

Yep, I agree.....Matt is a character all right. :raspberry

Justin and Wes are dead on. I am a firm believer that the customer is NOT always right. Not in todays day and age. I have ran across way too many A-Holes and impossible to please people with my PC business. I quickly cut my losses and move on when I run across one of these freaks.

If I make an honest mistake or if circumstances out of my control make a situation not right for my customer I am more than willing to make up for it, but I have found that many people are just looking for any excuse to complain in hopes of getting a discount or freebie. Those people are not worth my time to do business with.

The funny part is, many times they come running back because they found out that I was doing the work for about one fourth less than anyone else was willing to do it for. Too bad, so sad, not gonna happen.

I have this disease that makes me want to please everyone... Well I just started taking my meds for it and will not be doing that anylonger..lol.. Thanks guys for the nice things you have said...

Matt,
I feel that you were at least 10 minutes slow in making that last response.
I DEMAND a 10% discount for life for everyone participating in this thread!

Make it so, or we'll all say bad things about you on the internet.

Everyone here is absolutely right - there are some people you will just never please. The good news is that they are generally few and far between.

Keep up the good work.

Matt, you know you have TERRIBLE customer service...
Heck I still haven't received the damn tracking number on the snakes that I still haven't paid for but you told me you would ship anyway...LOL

Just to be sure any of the uninitiated can't read sarcasm from a forum post...I AM BEING SARCASTIC...

Matt Graybeal is a GREAT businessman, has impeccable customer service, is good natured, great sense of humor, and is just a damn fine American...

He has been instrumental in allowing me to spend copious amounts of my money on things my wife would never approve of...LOL

Absolutely great guy...a pleasure to do business with...and to talk to...
Hell he can keep me laughing for hours as my cell phone bill quickly extends into the 4 digit mark...

If someone is unhappy...they obviously do not understand the realities of the business world...
These are people that live at the drive through...and want INSTANTANEOUS gratification...

Sometimes that can just not happen...

They need to slow down...and take life a little easier...not worth all the stress...

Now about that tracking number... :shrug01:

You are right on there. That business model went from being a good, noble, way of treating your customers right (and thereby insuring a faithful customer) to nothing more than a slogan that loser, cheap, want something for nothing, complaining a-holes exploit. It's just not worth it anymore. In the past the amount of customers like that(a-holes) were a small percentage of the customer base, and it was easier and made more business sense just to give them what they wanted and they move on. Maybe it's just me, but it seems the percentage of those kinds of people has skyrocketed, to the point where a business would be spending way to much time, money, and effort to try and please these people, to the point that it effects the bottom line, and these people for the most part, even if you did try to treat them right, would not turn that into "loyalty" to your company, they either would use it to exploit even more, or they never return anyway. whew.............one of my (many) pet peeves, a-hole customers.

I have this disease that makes me want to please everyone... Well I just started taking my meds for it and will not be doing that anylonger..lol..

Whoever is sending Matt those meds will suffer the wrath of the clique. Quit taking them before they do any permanent damage.

Seriously though as I told you long ago, anything you need just say the word.

Now you take care!

I still try to give good customer service and will even go out of my way to please a moderately difficult one. However, in a situation like this I agree with the bunch of y'all that I would have refunded the money and told the moron not to bother contacting me for anything again. I will take exception to Justin's characterization of this behavior as typical of Bipolar Disorder. Speaking as a health care professional I can assure you that it is not that at all. It's typical of of being a jerk and an ass but many people with Bipolar are not at all like this. That kind of ignorant commentary really is unnecessary and stigmatizes a group that did not ask to have an illness. My $0.02 anyway.

Jim your being silly,I have no problems with people with medical problems, still if a person has a disease it doesn't give them the right to be abusive to others nor should it be used as a excuse. Now as for that being said you are reading to much into the post, I wasn't trying to make a diagnoses or trying to stereotype ALL Bipolar people, that 's a big jump there bud. If a person emails you pissed calling you names and making threats you could say he was behaving in a psychotic manner correct, even call him a psychopath. Now should Pscychopaths take offense to this statement, if I called him Crazy should all mentally ill people get made at me?.Maybe I need to be more politically correct and censor what I say more, but I am not going to.
The definition of Bipolar is "to have two contradictary natures", the psychological definition of Bipolar is "Relating to a major affective disorder that is characterized by episodes of mania and depression" now that is the text book medical definition of Bipolar disorder ...episodes of mania and depression...two contradictary natures.
That seems to roughly describe his behavior. And despite your experieces the medical defintion of Bipolar is generally characterized by and QUOTE "bouts of MANIA AND DEPRESSION."
This is what you take exception too...
"is probably a symptom of a larger personal problem i.e. BIPOLAR"
Now this guy went from customer to enraged a$$ over 8.00, for no real reason, seems to me like a bout of "mania" and his actions are Bipolar by definition. Jim you don't have to be ill to exhibit Bipolar behavior. And I shouldn't have to worry about being called ignorant because I gave an example of a "larger personal problem " that could account for this behavior.
Sorry if I hurt any feelings or struck a nerve. Just calling it as I see it.

Thank God!!!! Political correctness has gone WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY overboard in this country. Glad to see more of my fellow Americans talking bluntly without worrying about offending some thinned skinned whiny ultra liberals that damn well knew in the first place that no offense was meant.

Sorry, rant over.
