    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

You're just digging yourself deeper now, aren't you? You shouldn't use big words that you don't understand. Pyschopaths are not psychotic and the behavior you describe is no more typical of psychosis, sociopathic personality disorder (which is a characteristic of psychopaths), or bipolar disorder. As for the diagnostic criteria for Bipolar, one episode of hypomania is sufficient for type II bipolar disorder. Hypomania is not a psychotic condition, by definition, nor is most depression.

Now here's a definition for you, from dictionary.com:

I would say number three above applies to your initial comment and its defense.

Would you stigmatize someone with throat cancer who can't talk? Or someone with polio who can't walk? Why is mental illness, about which you are clearly ignorant (see #3 above) fair game? Don't defend it more. You'll only dig the hole deeper. Just think before you put your size 10 foot in your size 12 mouth the next time.

Here I am so now all the truth can be revealed. First of all it started when Matt said he was shipping a week ago. Then nothing was shipped. Then Matt said it was shipped on Saturday and again nothing. So I serched this forum and did get him mixed up with the other matt and I did get nasty. realized it wasnt the same guy and still found out I was lied to again and it wasnt shipped Saturday either? So like any one else would do and dont say you wouldnt after being constantly lied to on the shipped date, of course I got angry and thought I was being ripped off! You others may be long time cusomers with Matt but as with me i was a first time customer, so what would you do or think in my shoes??? I do have all the emails to back up all of this.

You are entitled to your opinion, and you're also entitled to be wrong. This has nothing to do with political correctness. It has to do with right and wrong. Justin was wrong. Ignorant if you will. Maybe that's not PC either, but it is how I see it. I could care less what he says, so long as he can back it up. When he or anyone else spouts bullcrap, I will call whoever it is on it.

This person, Matt's customer, acted like an ass, but not like someone with mental illness.

I think your looking for fight. I think you need to learn tolerance of others opinions and realize that some people may talk differently than you, that they may say something that maybe offensive to some but not to others, and this is ok.
Honestly...if you were complaining about 8.00 and made a big fuss over it, I'd sum you up as being bipolar too...and that is my opinion. And ol Robert your order was slated to go out on Wednesday and there were orders in front of yours, Then on saturday like I said in my origional post the post closed early(why I dont have a clue). But today you order went out with about 173 others. But your had to be special and I put a certified return receipt on it because you just strike me as one that woudl say they did not get the order when the Ranco's are cooking away on one of your tanks, and paypal also advised me to do this as they felt they felt the same. Paypal rep " Mr. Graybeal, I would advise you to add a certified receipt to the package as complaints are not normally filed in less than a week". What would anyone think? You thought I was a scammer!!!!!!!! So I provided you with all the links that have my name on them, my trader raiting and the BOI good guy. And then u still filed the complaint with paypal..lol.. Maybe not Bipolar but dislusional....
 
That would be cool Matt, but this guy obviously has a point to make and wants to use me to make it. Don't understand why he feels he must make a mute point anyway, whats his point, I was being insensitive in some way to Bipolar people, really,is it worth making enemys over, not to me...but I am not the one who is looking for a fight. If we were in a group of people and you told us this story and I said the guy sounds bipolar, I really doubt Jim would of Jumped on my case like he has here, so why does he want to over the internet beats me, but people are 10x more curteous in person than on the PC so??

The problem is people, that nothing was being done but alot of false promises on shipping until a threat of action was made. See again he covers his tracks with I did ship Saturday to I was shipping Saturday but they closed early. Let this happen to you from someone YOU dont know and see how you react. A persons reputation is only as good as he keeps it.
Like I told you before Matt, all you had to say was the truth. Sorry things are running behind I will ship out soon or got to the post office late and they closed etc....Not I shipped today, wait no I shipped Saturday, woops no I shipped now that you have complained about it.
There is nothing more to it at all, its not Matts customer acted like an ass it was Matts cusomer was fed BS when the truth was never dealt, with if you cant see that then you are blind!

Actually, I'm not looking for a fight. But there is a line and in my opinion you crossed it Justin. Say what you want, but if you knew me in person you would know that you would have heard from me if you said something as insensitive as that. Again, all you need do is consider that you are "picking on" a group of people that didn't ask for their particular illness. Add to that the fact that you happened to be wrong about that group and I felt compelled to speak. I'm not looking for an enemy. I made my point. For you to keep defending yourself seems pointless. This whole "argument" is pointless. You made what I considered an insensitive comment. I called you on it. You're the one who feels compelled to defend yourself, and attack.

Before initiating a complaint with PayPal, perhaps asking for a refund directly from the seller would have been wise. I know Matt, and I have done business with him now on several occasions, and I think that it's fair to say that he would have issued the refund without a question. I think that one way that you could have used the BOI is to have seen that his customers are generally all satisfied (though there is one notable exception and that episode is well documented and speaks for itself). From Matt's history you could easily have seen that Matt was not going to ruin his reputation over a small item.

When you file a complaint with PayPal that causes all kinds of hassle for everyone involved, and should be a last resort, in my opinion. The issue is not whether you had a legitimate complaint (you felt that you did), but rather the method you used to try to resolve it.

Yup I would have refunded it within 30 min of you asking. You just thougl I was Matt Goldman. My name is Matt Graybeal! I am a Christian and am not going to steal anything form you.. The paypal dispute will be over in a couple days and you will be charged fees for filing the complaint. Now they have deducted the funds from my account on a temporary hold until this is finished. I did infact try to ship your order when I said I was going to, I honestly thought your order was going our Wednesday, it was packaged and ready to to get weighed and labeled. I apologize for that. Sorry! Now your order is well on its way. Good Luck. And Jim is right I do have one customer that hates the ground I walk on, and I am glad I dont have to talk to him, deal with him(except on here when it rekindles..lol) Good luck to you and yours Robert..

I have had to wait MUCH longer than a couple of days...from people I have never done business with...based solely on their reputation in this industry...

Things happen sometimes...if you need something RUSHED...you should have planned ahead...especially when the place you are ordering from has the particular item backordered...

Matt runs a reputable business...and he is very easy to deal with...
He definitely will make everything alright...

Heck, I ordered a pile of stuff from Matt before he was M G Reptiles...only having known him from some conversations in various forums...was I worried? You bet...just like when winning ANYTHING on eBay...
You sweat it out until it gets there...but Matt is exceptional...he has made time in his VERY busy day to be sure I have gotten things RUSHED when I needed them on short notice...and he had them in stock. Above and beyond even GOOD service...

I hope you are happy with your thermos...and decide to put this behind you and order from Matt in the future...

Spoke with PayPal and my complaint was legitimate, so there is no fees to be charged to me at all. All emails are proof to them.
I do hope I recieve it like you say, I would have asked for a refund but you kept insisting it was shipped but didnt provide proof until I did file with PayPal. Too late then.

For you to file with Paypal in under a week WITHOUT requesting a refund from the seller is ridiculous...

But I think the thing that most people missed here...and I just realized...it appears you filed a dispute with Paypal for a refund...thinking the shipment was already on it's way...Sounds like a scam to me.
With a holiday weekend...and everything else in between...the amount of time from you placing the order to filing the dispute was barely time for the items to be shipped to you regardless...and Matt DID notify you that these items were out of stock...did he not?

You are definitely an IMPATIENT person...
But I will give you one little piece of advice...

THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU...in case you didn't know...

Talk about jumping the gun. We get a few fools like that every now and then. We once had a person order a blood python on a thursday afternoon which could not go out same day due to weather. We emailed him stating that his order would ship the following monday. He replied requesting we ship overnight for a Saturday delivery. We do not do this due to greater risk obviously, so we told him his package would ship with our usual deliveries that coming monday. No replies, nothing...... We got a paypal dispute later that very day!

Talk about ignorant impatience! LOL

We sent him his refund and went on our way.... When that monday came around he emailed us in the afternoon asking for a tracking number! We told him that we had refunded his purchase in response to his PayPal dispute, then he replied stating if we shipped he would send payment again after it arrived. I nearly laughed myself into tears lol. I asked him not to contact us again, that we did not wish to do any business with him. Later that evening he purchased another blood python through our website. We refunded the payment. Then again on the following wednesday, we refunded the payment. This went on for nearly two weeks!

He finally got the point and the lunatic went on to hassle other dealers.

(sorry guys, but he's alllllllllllllllll yours LOL)
 
Thats what happens when you are impatient...

People just don't understand you can't cross a bridge after you burn it.
