In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Genefreak339 / Michael Harshbarger

Sorry but this is my first year breeding, first year to ever get clutchs! Some might say BS but hey at least I got it all figured out before sending the snakes off at least I actually told potential buyers the flaws! No body was hurt by this situation and everyone that seriously inquired about them got update info and pics of the tails.

You KNOW this for a fact? How? :shrug01:

It does seem odd to me, as a breeder, that with feeding, cleaning, etc that the kink is not noticed till (how many grams were they when they were sold?)...but what the hey:shrug01:

For future: Everything must be revealed in the AD. Check the animals carefully, be aware of what you are selling since your name stands behind it. :)

How did you start out your reputation in the reptile community? Not trying to change the topic, just asking a question that may help you realize what I'm thinking. :) I for one would go about the same way as him (possibly without the mistakes). He has been conducting himself very professionally and calmly. You rarely see this in people that would screw somebody over the first chance they get. I consider him at a good start and will encourage anyone else to strive to to their best.

And like I said, he warned the person before they purchased. At least he did this much. :)

Will take pics right now and send them to me... You have my number right? If not just pm me and I will give it to you. Sorry that all this bs has caused you to be skeptical..... :(

Is she still being shipped out on Mon. for Tue. morning? Please send me some fresh pics of the tail & overall with the date on a paper (either news or written). You have my email addy. This really has me concerned about our transaction...

So he's new to the hobby...and made some mistakes...and now, even though he's being honest, he is pretty much being called a liar. I'm kind of sad that the online community that I have come to love jumps to him being a fishy person instead of offering their advice and guidance to do better...

ONE of those mistakes could have put a nice chunk of change in his pocket if some of the unwary, new, or unknowledgeable had jumped on the AD and purchased it right away...ummm. Then he could have claimed, that he never "said" it was IMG or claimed it was Axanthic.:shrug01: It's all in how we market our animals.

So, he's learning the HARD way not to make mistakes of this nature, some of us don't play when it's OUR money that may be involved (some of us have been interested in purchasing his animals) and it's good that it's OUT HERE now..he knows what's being said behind the scenes and has a chance to straighten up.

No one is going to spoonfeed him, he got into this business on his own. He needs to learn genetics, and be aware of his animals smallest bone, skin coloration, etc..that makes a GOOD breeder.

So you can sit there and feel sorry for him if you want.

Glass houses. You've done exactly the same thing. Perhaps once you hatch some babies, if you're unlucky enough to get one with a deformity you'll see just how quickly you notice that and say to yourself, "oh yeah, I see now".

I agree with Deb.

Sure, he can learn from this and move forward. And I hope he does. It happens all the time. But I wouldn't exactly call him new based on some of the animals he's sold/is selling.

:iagree: 100%

And he didn't know about the kinks until later when he checked out the males.
Those kinks were pretty noticeable. I'm not bashing the guy in any way, calling him a liar, or anything. I, myself, would have spotted that and they would've been culled afterwards.

I just think it's a responsible thing to inform others that there were genetic flaws in the clutch. If anything, that could/should be taken as advice. Upfront, and honest will make a difference.

This question brought back memories!

When I was introduced to Fauna, they tried to KILL me. In a lot of opinions, I was doing everything wrong; I was too opinionated; too headstrong; didn't listen to anyone, and I wasn't properly "humble" to the greats.

I got one "Info" or something thread..but I had already been trying to contact the buyer and the whole thing was totally MY fault and I was bending over backwards, would have given her almost anything she wanted in exchange to make up for my mistake, and I LEARNED from it; I certainly didn't come and make excuses. I realized my shipping screw up practically before the buyer did.

No one spoon-fed me, I took my knocks, and I am still here. Encouragement?? IMO, we provide our own. Breeding BPS isn't for the fainthearted..we go from season to season on hopes.

He'll be fine if he picks himself up and continues.

We are talking about the kinked and stub tailed snakes...yes I was fishy about the "IMG" snake and I still am. I bet he is too. He doesn't even know the true genetics. I think that is why he is keeping the snake instead of selling it. He now realizes that genetics really do mean a lot, not just the looks. I do not feel sorry for him.

I breed dragons and I agree that deformities are VERY noticeable. Glass houses, yes. I already said I was very skeptical of him at the beginning. Especially since I was interested in some of his snakes. I had been following the thread since it started to hear more info on him. :shrug01:

This question brought back memories!:rofl

Brought back lots of memories for me too...I think I got an infraction for forgetting to bleep out the "S" word in my first week. XD

Like before was fine... Cell phone pics kinda suck (in general) so it defeats the purpose. I'd rather have a clear pic from a camera as opposed to a pic from a cell.Sorry for the hassle & inconvenience.

No problem at all.... I do ask one favor of you though. After the transaction is complete and you are completly happy with the pied could you please leave feedback for me? All I have is feedback on this thread and as you can see it doesnt look to great... I would love to have feedback on an actual transaction and not just on someones opinion of me. Thanks

As long as everything goes smoothly & she's healthy, not a prob. I usually wait about a month (3-4 feedings) before I leave Positive feedback & a B.O.I. thread.
