I am posting this information here, as this is the most current BOI thread on Wendy.
I saw an ad on Tuesday (9/7/10) posted by Wendy Childs of Reptile Addictions for some poison dart frogs for sale. Just being curious, I looked at her ad. I saw, among other frogs for sale, there was 0.0.2 Pumillo "blue jeans" morphs, listed for $100 each. When I looked through her pictures she had posted, I didn't see any frogs that looked like blue jeans, however, I
did see some pumillos that looked like the "man creeks" morph. Since CB blue jeans are pretty rare in this country and diffucult to come by, and because none of the pictures she had up looked like blue jeans at all, I decided to inquire about them.
I asked her, within the thread, if the photos in question were of her blue jeans, and what bloodline they are from. She said yes, those
were her blue jeans in the pictures, and that they are from Darren Meyer's bloodline. I then told her that those frogs look like man creeks to me, and she replied that it was her camera that made the legs look black (insted of blue) and that she
guarantees that they are blue jeans. The next time I checked a little while later, supspiciosly, everything on her ad suddenly said "SOLD".
At that point, I decided to ask the opinions of the experts over at Dendroboard.com. I posted a thread on their identification forem, and include 4 of the pictures Wendy posted of her "blue jeans". After seeing the pictures, they all agreed they were definatly not blue jeans, and were probably infact man creeks. One person there even contacted Darren about it.
You can see that thread here, although it no longer shows the pictures:

And here are screen shots of my post and a few replies:
Well, shortly after that, I noticed Darren Meyer posted on the ad that if they were from him, they are
100% man creek, as he does not work with blue jeans at all.
In the mean time, I noticed when Wendy posted "all sold", she thanked someone (legionofthederanged). Well, I contacted him via PM to see if he had purchased the supposed blue jeans. Thankfully he had not, and he thanked me for "looking out for him", and praised me for knowing the difference between the two pumillo morphs (he agrees that the frogs she has pictured are definatly man creeks, as well.)
Then, I preceided to ask Wendy within the thread, if she would please come and explain the situation. A little while later, the ad had been deleted and this was in my inbox:
Stop
I dont appreciate you harassing my customers. They do not appreciate it either. I request respectfully that you cease immediately.

And this is what I responded with:
Re: Stop
I have harrassed no one. I mearly PMed legionofthederanged, after Darren stated they were man creeks, to ask him he had purchased the "blue jeans", and to make him aware that they probably were man creeks. He thanked me for "looking out for him", and agreed that they were man creeks and not blue jeans as well.
Then, the next day, I got this PM from her:
I am reporting you for harassment. Your pm's are uninvited, I have asked you to stop. Now go post that on DB board with all the other 1/8th of information you have posted......................
You DO NOT have my permission to steal and use my photos.
So obviously, I offended her by questioning whether or not those frogs were real blue jeans or just man creeks. And, after the person she said they were from came on the ad and said if they are from him, then they are not blue jeans, I started to believe that she was
purposly misrepresenting those frogs, in order to make more money, as blue jeans are more expensive than man creeks (although neither are "cheap" frogs). So it would appear that she was caught in a lie and then deleted the proof.
I would like Wendy to come here and explain her actions. I do not anyone being scammed into buying something that's not what it's suppose to be. I'm hell bent on protecting the integrity of the dart frog hobby, and the hobbists alike. I felt I needed to post this, to make sure she doesn't decieve someone into buying some man creek froglets for $100 each, when they think they will be getting blue jeans, and to make sure she doesn't misrepresent any animal she is trying to sell for that matter.
