Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Reptidoc Dr. Darryl G. Walker

I've never posted here before, so I do not want to cross lines of etiquette.
But to be brief, I have bought one 09 snake from Doc Walker in 09 that was perfectly healthy, age/size appropriate, and a fine specimen; and, never refused a meal. I lost this snake (it died) by my own bad husbandry some 4-5 months after purchase because I did not keep all of my snakes together in the warmest (ambient air temperature) room of the house (I did use UTH's). I learned a hard lesson. I have also bought two '10 snakes from Doc this year that are fine and healthy, and never miss a meal.
Doc has been very professional, likes his snakes to remain at the temp-controlled FedEx destination for pick up, and likes an email, but prefers a telephone call for confirmation of receiving OK animals.

Also, to be fair, I have exchanged PM's with Reptileman/Josh (May/June 2010??) about the possible purchase of a snake that originated from Doc Walker. Josh was very laid back, professional, and friendly and trustworthy in my estimation.

Well thank you. I am this person you speak of. If any of the rest of you had done dealings with me or care to really talk to me and not bash me to the point where I just have to attack back you would see this. I am a kind, caring, loving person. I am very professional when it comes to most of my dealings. I am a very friendly down to earth guy. The kind of guy you would sit back and have a few drinks with. I am very trustworthy.

I think that a few of you do to much attacking on others. This is a BOI for Reptiledoc not me. Have all of you that are chiming in even read this whole thread. I think by what some of you are saying that you are jumping in in the middle and making everything much worse.

As for the no vet visit stuff ok enough is enough. Yes I admit I do not have $400 to take a animal to a vet. Really I hate doctors all kinds. I have not even been to the doctor myself in many many years. I had cancer when I was 4 years old. I have spent a good portion of my life in and out of hospitals with doctors and all they ever did was make me sick and feel like crap. I did not ever feel better from going to the doctor only worse. So because of this I will not go to the doctor. I self medicate. I do what I can for my animals. I provide for them better then I do for myself. But no I will not take one to a doctor. That is my choice as a person. I have that right. My animals are clean and for the most part health. All but this group of snakes that I got from Doc.

I am living on $350 a month in unemployment. I am paying $250 a month in child support. I have no spare cash but what little money I can make here and there on selling animals. Not that any of this is anyone's business nor do I want sympathy from anyone.

I said it before I dont need to explain anything to anyone on here. None of you are my boss, my wife, my parents, or anything to me. I dont know you and you dont know me so dont presume you do by some words written in a form. I am by far a writer. I am a corn snake hobbiest/breeder. I do not get what I want to say across with the written word. This is why I have always hated text. I hate the fact that everyone text now. You have a phone call a person. I have even done dealings her through text. So you are judging me by a few words thats fine. But in retrospect you do not know me.

As for you Beth no we are not cool. We will never be cool. I do believe that we were going to just leave each other alone. Yet you just could not help but to instigate a situation and pour salt in the wound. Just stay out of my affairs.

I instigated nothing. This was alllllllllllllllllllllllll you! You really ought to put down that shovel....

Josh if you didn't want people in your affairs you shouldn't have posted a Bad Guy thread about someone. If you'd go and read a couple of the threads up you'd see the way things work here. Both sides are scrutinized, not just the person being accused.

So far, through your own words I think you've done more harm to yourself than to Doc. :shrugs:

Just because that is how things are done here does not make it right. Those of you the post on BOI thread often really need to wake up. You can not and should not speak to people they way that you do. None of you are god. You have no right judging anyone. Especially when it is someone you know nothing about. Besides what you may have read. If I was to say that I am the most knowledgable person on the whole plant Because I have read everything ever written about a animal does that mean I am. No because I have no field experience. I have had no experience with any live animals. Not sure where I was going on this but if you got the connection good job lol.

Pretty much I was saying reading about something or someone does not me you know all there is to know about it.

I for one would love to see a change on some of these threads here and many other places like for sale threads. What gives people the right to post anything to do with anything on a for sale thread (Beth). I know how it is trust me I like a ego boast from time to time as well. But belittling others and bashing other people is not right. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is about Doc. If you do not believe me and have not done business with him then go ahead I challenge you to. I challenge anyone to buy 10 snakes from Doc. Then to keep all of them alive for just 2 months. I bet that it can not be done. I would love to see someone prove me wrong. I would even pay what little bit of money I have to see someone prove me wrong.

Maybe it's me, but the two statements in red seem contradictory...

Not really. The original post does not mention anything about non-feeders. I took it that that was what Doc was referring to.

Josh, maybe I missed it, but have you addressed Doc's statement about you selling the animals in question? Also, I noticed from your "facts" that the Ultramel "that died" ate twice, regurged the second meal, then died. Is this correct? I know that if I had purchased just one snake and had that problem, especially after only a couple of weeks, you can bet I'd contact the seller. I certainly wouldn't be buying more snakes from that person, at least not until the problem was rectified.
Secondly, you said that Doc "insisted" that you buy the Butter het hypo. This raises more questions. Judging from your post here and elsewhere, you really don't strike me as the type that's easily bullied into doing something you didn't want to do. To me it sounds like you're trying to blame Doc for YOU purchasing that snake. That's almost as pathetic as your original accusations.
I have purchased many (way more than 11) snakes from Doc and alot of other people have dealt with him. I haven't heard anyone mention that they had this problem with any snake they recieved from him. Now you're saying that you had this problem with almost ALL of the snakes you got from him? This just leads me to believe that the problem is on your end.
The last question I have is, other than stealing, drinking on the job, or being a class A jerk, how does one lose a bartending job? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt....I think it's the latter.

Good call. Because a random guy on unemployment knows more than people that went to school for 6 years... thanks for clearing that up. I know keepers can treat some *common* conditions, but it's obvious you did not diagnose their condition properly. The proof? You killed them. Obviously, they needed a veterinarian, and you refused to take them. And admit further that you will not take ANY animal you own or may own to a vet, EVER. You can bet that will keep a LOAD of people from ever selling to you. Sad, really... you don't strike me as anything but a passionately misguided guy, but misguided you are, and completely and totally wrong with your "opinion" on medical care for animals under your care.

If you won't take them to the vet, at least be man enough to end their lives before they have to waste away for two months.

I am living on $350 a month in unemployment. I am paying $250 a month in child support. I have no spare cash but what little money I can make here and there on selling animals. Not that any of this is anyone's business nor do I want sympathy from anyone.

No wonder you can't take them to the vet. If you are correctly representing your situation that you have only $100 of regular income per month, you have no business owning animals at all. It's unfair to them, and unfair to you as well. I think this only lends credence to people's suspicions that you are trying to wrangle a refund after the fact because you're low on cash... not that you are, but you gotta see how this looks.

You may just need to sell your animals until your financial situation becomes more stable. All of us have had to at one point or another.

You have no right judging anyone.......Especially when it is someone you know nothing about.......But belittling others and bashing other people is not right. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Back the truck up here! Let me get this straight. We're jerks because we're saying that you've mistreated your animals, a judgement we've made based upon your words, but yet here you are expect us to take your word that Doc ripped you off? YOU can post accusations behind a man's back, but we're not allowed to state how we feel to your face? At least we're not scuttling around bad mouthing you without your knowledge!

We can't judge you, based upon what you've said and done in this thread, but you expect us to judge Doc based solely on your word and some iffy feed records (that are proof you were over-feeding). Sounds like a double-standard to me.

Yes, about Doc... I'm looking forward to getting a snake or two from him in the future. If anything this thread and all the nice things I've heard about Doc, has made me confident in doing business with him.

Oh and instead of giving money to someone as part of a bet, why don't you use it to take care of your animals properly? Like say, taking sick ones to the Vet?

Josh,
By your own admission you are unemployed, so you really cannot afford to properly care for these animals. Also by your own admission, you don't like Doctors of any kind because of a childhood trauma. So, these animals must endure continuous suffering because of your own phobia. You also state that "I have no experience with any animal", yet you take it upon yourself to medicate these animals you admittedly have NO experience in.

Because of these above statements, made by you, I know all I need to know about you. That, coupled with the fact that YOU chose a public forum to post a complaint. Board of Inquiry - Inquiry by definition means,
noun, plural -quir·ies.

a seeking or request for truth, information, or knowledge.

the act of inquiring or of seeking information by questioning; interrogation.

a question; query.

So you came to the BOI, which very nature is to seek the truth and since you don't like what is said, you proceed to tell everyone that they should not say anything about you because they don't know you.

Personally, I know enough about you to reach the logical conclusion that you should NOT own animals. Instances of sick animals in your possession should be brought to the attention of animal cruelty should you continue to neglect your obligation as an animal owner to supply PROPER, professional medical treatment.

Simply because you don't like the answer to your inquiry, does not make it wrong. This is not a "bashing", it is an opinion. One of which I (like yourself) am entitled to. Like it or not.

Just because that is how things are done here does not make it right.

Actually it does. Do you realize how many times the person starting the thread turns out to be the bad guy in the situation (not saying that you are in this case... just stating a point). This is why both sides are scrutinized. My advise would be... if you cant handle the digging then dont post a bad guy thread.

I myself has been scrutinized.... and I was able to stand up to it because everything I posted was the truth and I had evidence to back up what I said in the post.

Just something to ponder. Now back to read the rest of your post.

Wow so now you are going to bring up personal stuff that has nothing to do with anything. It is just simply you attacking me and :censored::censored::censored::censored: God why cant we curse. First off I am in the middle of a court case with them for sex discrimination. They fired me because they only wanted women to work there from here on out. Now I answered that insult of a question. Is that the answer you were looking for?

I did address the fact that I was trying to sell some of the snake I purchased from him. Heinze the word was. I address this on post 22. On top of that the address that he posted those were not his snakes. Those were my snakes. The thread where I was trying to sell the ones I got from him was deleted a couple months ago when the Goldust Motley was taking a turn for the worst.

The Ultramel that died do so weeks later. I got the second shipment from him a week later. I did not feel the need to contact him over the one snake that died after a few weeks. I figured it was to late and he would do nothing about it but maybe offer a discount on some more crap snakes. Then when the next one past it was a few months later. Way to long for any compensation.

You want to try and say that my snakes are unhealthy and I killed them. Go and look at my pics on my CS.com account. None of my snakes look sick and are sick. About the only thing I am having right now is problem feeders. But being this time of year just a couple of months after everything started to hatch so is everyone else. There are still people selling OOE specials. That is what I feel happen with the ones I got from Doc. He said he was cutting me a deal. So he did and in exchange I took all of his sick snakes off of him. I guess it is my own fault on that one too right. You get what you pay for right. Well if you can say that saying then it makes my what I have been saying this whole time true. I got what I paid for a bunch of sick snakes because I was cut a deal. But here is the kicker I unknowingly got these snakes. I have bought other sick snakes or out of egg specials in the past. But I knew what I was buying. And besides my deals for those were way better.

So pretty much I paid middle dollar for sick snakes instead of purchasing them cheap knowingly.

This has really gone way further then I ever wanted it to go. I wanted to say my peace about Doc and maybe hear a few remarks that did not agree with my own. I did not want to be attacked. I did not want this thread to get this long already. I did not want to see 25 people viewing me be bashed. I am done and over with this. Say what you will and think what you will. But Doc and I know the truth. Could be why he has not commented in 5 pages. Because he knows he was in the wrong. He knows he practiced poor business. He is just to prowed to admit it. Its cool because you are to prowed I have to be attacked, bashed and slandered. Even smacked talk about my profession as a Bartender that had nothing to do with any of this.

Thanks Doc for not standing up and admitting that in some ways you were wrong.

Just because that is how things are done here does not make it right. Those of you the post on BOI thread often really need to wake up. You can not and should not speak to people they way that you do. None of you are god. You have no right judging anyone. Especially when it is someone you know nothing about......

I find it fascinating when there is a general consensus of opinion, the person that opinion is going against suddenly tries to tell everyone they're doing something wrong...get off their high horses....stop judging...etc.

Isn't that what the BOI is here for? So we can make a JUDGMENT call on whether or not we want to do business with a particular individual or company? We ALL make judgment calls each and every day...it's how we get through life. And no, we're not God, so sometimes those calls are wrong...but we all make them anyhow, based on whatever information is available.

So am I judging you? Sortof. I'm making a judgment call that I probably would NOT want to do business with you, for a number of reasons....reasons that YOU have spelled out here quite clearly. This isn't taking someone else's word for your character, it's nothing more than taking your OWN word about yourself. Words that YOU chose to put out here on a public forum where we ALL have the right to express our opinions and contribute to the discussion at hand.

The more we talk, the more information you reveal....the BOI seems to be working just fine.

Wow so now you are going to bring up personal stuff that has nothing to do with anything. It is just simply you attacking me and :censored::censored::censored::censored: God why cant we curse.

Because this is a professional section of the site..... Kinda like what you claim to be "future professional"

First off I am in the middle of a court case with them for sex discrimination. They fired me because they only wanted women to work there from here on out. Now I answered that insult of a question. Is that the answer you were looking for?

If this is true... I hope you win and clean house with them.

My Mother told me a long time ago that usually the person being the most silent is the one who is telling the truth... The one who remains calm, doesn't rage at everyone, and whine, is the one who is in the right. I think Doc said his piece and I also think he's been dragged through the mud enough by your silly accusations.

I accept your challenge. I have purchased 15 snakes from Doc and they will be shipped out next week. How much $ are we talking, Donald Trump?

Reptileman81, this quote from one of your previous posts characterizes you more than anyone that has replied to this thread. This is not an attack on you. It is a statement of fact. Anyone who has ever read anything about common reptile diseases would at some point in their lives have heard that persistant gastric region swelling combined with regurging, as you reported for one of your snakes, is a classic sign of Cryptosporidium, an incurable disease that causes hyperplasia of the gastric mucosa. This affects the ability of the stomach accommodate and digest a bolus of food, and and results in bacterial decay and putrification of the rodent and subsequent regurgitation. This is an incurable disease and also contagious. The gastric hyperplasia is a late stage of the infection and infected animals can be subclinical for months before becoming symptomatic and debilitated. This snake was doomed but since is showed classic symptoms, should have been taken to a vet to be sent to a lab for a confirmed diagnosis. Any reputable herpetoculturist would have wanted to know if any animal in their collection was positive or negative for this in order to make decisions on the future of their collection. Since it is always fatal and also contagious, it is likely other animals in your collection are infected. By describing that animals' condition on this thread, you have effectively put yourself out of business, at least to members of this site. I would never want anything from a collection with a crypto suspect. You should not be trying to keep any type of animal. I would recommend finding a hobby that does not involve living things.

Josh; can you please review how you keep your corns... Please... Temps, rack, glass aquariums?? Hotspots, coldspots and room temp where they are kept?? Please...

Wow, Josh. just wow. This whole trainwreck of a thread is just fascinating. From the beginning, when people noticed you continued to stuff food down the throat of a multiple regurged animal... you know damn well you could've come on CS.com and asked how to deal with regurges if you didn't know, which it's obviously you didn't... hell, you wouldn't even have had to make the post yourself if you were embarrassed, you could've just searched for "regurge". Of course you probably wouldn't want any advice from them, since they clearly don't have the same hands-on experience with animals that you do! After all, you worked in a pet shop when you were 13! You're practically a vet yourself! Then to your vet reveal... I pity the animals in your care. You're completely uneducated on even the most basic of animals in the pet trade, and yet you "know" your animals are healthy. Riiiight. Then, launching into poor Beth who was commenting on the thread just like everyone else, as well as basically accusing people like me and Kevin who regularly post on the BOI of having no lives... if every single BOI thread that was made was confined to people who had dealt with the parties in question, where would the catches that those parties try to hide or don't notice come from? How would tech-idiot people realize a picture supposedly taken in Dec of 04 was actually from the same day as the post? I know you know better than this, you're just grasping for any straw to take the spotlight of you and your abhorrent husbandry. I hope every single solitary person who ever considered buying from you sees this thread and changes their mind.

I hope every single solitary person who ever considered buying from you sees this thread and changes their mind.

You left out the part where he was trying to sell snakes that were supposedly sickly. I saw that For Sale thread over on CS.com.

Nice catch! I was thinking it sounded more like a tumor of some sort or perhaps the way some snakes' necks swell just before a shed, but that might've just been the way he worded it. This would make sense too, considering his admission of knowingly buying sick snakes from others. I doubt there exists a quarantine in his house.

Josh I recommend you get over your fear of doctors, choose a snake that's either already suffering or to whom you have no attachment, and take it to be euthanized and tested for crypto. This is the most serious disease in the reptile world and it can, I believe, become zoonotic (spread to humans) as well.

just caught back up with this today or sort of did, LMFAO at his hand written notes...who asks themselves rhetorical questions when writing notes for/to themselves??? "what am i going to do?" PHONY
