    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I personally believe that it is possible for someone to mess up. But I haven't quite seen much proof from you to show me that the deaths of these animals weren't your fault. The feeding records you showed are shotty at best and the fact that you refused to take a snake to the vet because you did not have any attachment to it is appalling. Did you not think of the snakes in your collection that could possibly have caught something from that baby? That would have been my first concern.

But, but, but... you have 15 years of experience! See what we are trying to tell you about your care practices? YOU HAVE A LOT TO LEARN. And regrug protocol is plastered all over CS.com, you could have asked anyone. Also a CALL to a vet is free.

I have less than 5 years of reptile care experience, but I will bet my house that I know more than you. Why? BECAUSE I LISTEN to what other people tell me, study and constantly strive to better myself and my knowledge every chance I get. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW EVERYTHING!

Just because someone at a pet shop said do it this way, that does not make in law or even standard care practice. LEARN from the people around you!!!

Also how about answering my question of PROOF the snakes you got from Doc were cooled and that's what contributed to their death?

You can waffle and whine till you are blue in face about people bashing you but YOU picked this fight with Doc out in the open.

Oh hey, another "no buddy" like me. ;) I happen to agree with everything you've said though.

Example: My Mom has been a nurse for 30 years and she still has to take continuing education classes every so often as there is always something new to learn in her field.

So kudos to the Bloodybaroness!

Has Doc said he cools his babies every winter?
or are you assuming he does, due to the size of your snakes?

Basically, is this a fact you can prove, or an assumption?

I DO know Doc, talk to him frequently and have done business with him for over 20 years. Josh's allegation about not feeding babies through winter is not only baseless, but also completely false.
Without any proof, whatsoever, Josh set out to damage the reputation of someone and blame them for the death/health of the snakes in question. He even stated (paraphrased) that if he keeps even one person from doing buisness with Doc, then all this is worth it. He didn't contact the seller and voice his concerns when the problem(s) first occurred, but instead he refused to take them to a vet. He basically just watched these snakes suffer and die. Josh has done more damage to his own reputation in this thread than everyone else combined.

I disagree Josh. Your exact words (page 7, post #64), "I challenge anyone to buy 10 snakes from Doc. Then to keep all of them alive for just 2 months. I bet that it can not be done. I would love to see someone prove me wrong. I would even pay what little bit of money I have to see someone prove me wrong." After I accepted your challenge, you still didn't put any conditions on it, so, these snakes will do just fine. You can keep the money though.

That's a pretty good summary of this thread, right there.

And I think Josh's idea that Doc does not feed hatchlings during the winter came from Vinman stating he (or someone he knows, don't quite recall) brumates hatchlings in the winter. I do think Vinman was simply saying it's a possibility, he was not claiming this is what Doc does... as least as far as I understood it. :shrug01:

Actually, Josh said in the original post that he believes that Doc doesn't feed babies through the winter. Again, another accusation without proof, because it's completely false.

I said some breeders that have over stock or non feeders brumates them in the winter months I also said I do it too. I tried to say as neutral as possible

I think that is where the idea came from. Josh clings to anything he thinks he can twist into something positive for his story.

At this point Josh is on the losing side of a slippery slope. He can't/won't post proof and is just chasing his tail hoping some poor sap will read this and think he's a godsend of logic.

Honestly I think this thread should be left to die.

Josh may spout off more drivel, but that's all it's going to be. I sincerely doubt there will be any thirteenth hour miracle proof posted.
 
Vinny I know you were trying to stay neutral, but Josh took the wild idea and twisted it. It's not your fault and I don't think is anyone is trying to make it sound like you said it about Doc. I know that is certainly not how you meant it to come across.

I came in to read this BOI since there have been others stepping up about corns bought from Doc that have passed. I don't know Josh and I do not know Doc but it sure makes a person leary about a breeder with not just one but several stating that they have had 2010 corns passing away by the same breeder. JMO

I'm sure I will get backlash from this but again.....This was the reason I came in here to read this BOI.

I'm interested in purchasing quite a few of Doc's snakes and he is local, so I figured I'd message him and replied to a thread and PM'ed him. Now a very reputable breeder on the forums did not mention any names, but told me to search a few threads and I know what threads are spoken of here. I do NOT want to cross any lines by breaking rules, but these threads are on cornsnakes.com . Am I allowed to link to them?

I truly, have no idea what is going on and therefore point no fingers as of right now. I've just read all painful back and forth in the 38 pages here, and I will read the multiple other pages on cornsnakes.com. I will post links if someone can verify that this is not crossing any lines or breaking rules.
