In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy BHB reptiles "het" didn't prove out, won't fix it

Im pretty sure that snake was not 1500.00, if you go to Brians website they run about 300.00

Motley boas were 1200(ish) a two years ago and now you can get one for $250-$300. They can depreciate really fast, and if I remember right the snake in question was close to, if not already, breedable which makes a big difference in price

Had I known at the time that something like this could have happened I can now say I wouldn't have done it but at the time it seemed harmless; I get my order from Brian, and a Pied from David, and save $250, David gets the spider het ghost he wanted from BHB and remaining cash from me for the pied girl, and Brian made another $1500 on top of what he was already making from me. At the time it seemed there were no losers here.

Here is what Chris posted

This is all great but it doesn't look like Brian is getting the snake back.David sold the snake. Now he wants Brian to compensate him for a snake he no longer has.So david gets something and Brian doesn't get the "het" in question. Correct me if I am wrong?Brian can't prove it out if he doesn't have the snake.

That's a good point. To the OP, did you in fact tell Brian that you sold the snake and was no long in possesion of the animal. If so, what was his responce?

BHB; here and gone!! No retort... I just prevented $3500 from going your way fyi... I will never click on a BHB ad again... Sorry folks... This is ______!!

I the animal had a visual parent then it is a het . No ifs and or buts.

This is absolutely false. There are many examples of deviations from mendell and punnetts theories of genetics. While it is usually the case there are many examples of it not being so.I have experienced it in animals I have produced in my very own collection that I raised and bred personally. Bred 2 what should be textbook 100%hets together and produced nothing but a bunch of poss.hets and it would take me 10 lifetimes to figure out who of the offspring is a het and who isnt.So I just sell them as normals and keep a group back to try and figure it out but it takes years. I don't even sell "100% hets" of this animal to the public because everyone thinks they should reap the same benefits as me for all my hard work with none of the investment and sacrifice. Genetics and morphs and all the headaches for us creators of the morph are a freaking nightmare.

David said he too had talked to BHB about purchasing a Spider Het Ghost male and Brain had quoted a price to him of I believe at the time $1750.

So I tell David I will call Brian and see how much I could get the Spider Het Ghost male for if I add it to my existing order thinking that I may get a price break due to the size of the existing order. David says great, if you can get it for less than $1750 and I wanted to buy it that he would credit me the $1750 towards the big pied female. So I call Brian (even telling him that it was for David) and he says I can add the spider het ghost male for $1500 so basically it works out for everybody.

Originally $1750, but got a deal of $1500 due to it being added to an existing order.

Thank you Aleria for clarifying this for the late to the threaders.. Ann; please read; hold your posts til sure... It's been four breedings and 22 live babies for the masses... This is not a hoax!! This is real life and $15K+ is in the wind/down the toilet... Far from funny or laughing matter....

Whoa this thread went south faster than i have seen in a while.
To the OP what do u consider a fair resolution for all this?? not asking for an dollar amount or actual emails again since you are dead against posting those.Do u just want to receive what u spent on the animal? more?? , a replacement?

also in my opinion the current owner of the snake should be dealt with by the original seller , no one else , they lost any claim to any of this when they sold the snake.

Dave already took darn good care of Cliff; and he definitely will in due time as Cliff knows and trusts Dave well... The snake was sold to Cliff with full disclosure... I will disclose the price, but it was fair and with full knowledge.. At this point; Cliff wants/will keep the spider ??? het ??? and David needs compensation, who will then trickle it to Cliff... Cliff is flat out worried about the snake going back.. He (the spider) is hot, humid, happy and content right here at Cliff's house and will stay from my recent convo's with him... Cliff is reasonable and flexible and doesn't know what is fair?? You don't wanna hear what I suggest... I would overcompensate heavily at this point... I just found another "bud" here in Az. with some interesting comments on a BHB snake... I will hold my peace/piece though... I will never click on a BHB ad just based on time lapses between convo's with anybody; heard enough about them... Nuff said... I know I'm a guppy??

15000.00...You cant get money for animals that never existed. Too many what ifs etc. where is this figure from? There is no way to figure the resulting morphs.Let alone how many total offspring.

Why didn't the OP ,david, demand compensation from the producers of the virgin females that are supposed to be hets and failed to produce? What reasoning was used to determine it was the male at fault? I mean the girls are equally guilty until they prove out.Is it that all the breeders were contacted and Brian was the only one dumb enough to promise something? I mean come on.Have all the females in question been PROVEN? It is very possible that some lines are incompatible and other pairings just havent hit the right number on the roulette wheel.

if you are refering to Mike W i know him and he knows me.I don't breed ball pythons.Never have and never will.Don't even breed that many snakes(mostly venomous). But I do have a massive collection of reptile & amphibian species. I just don't understand why Brian is the only one who is being pressed here. Why is everyone elses integrity ok but brians being crucified?I am actually very impartial and unbiased. My comments are only refering to the facts at hand. I am just calling it as I see it.I am not friends with anyone involved.

"Trust me trust me its not the females its definately the male.Even though the females havent been proven either?"

This is what I am seeing and it makes no sense. It could be that noone is at fault in any way.
