In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Emiley Jones (Emileypaige776)

As far as the animals being prices as a group only, that is false. It is clearly stated in the add that they have individual prices or a discounted group price. No pricing was changed.
I may have been unclear about "not sending anything." What I was advised to do by several friends was not refund her payment for the available animals and send them to her.. because she bought them. Why would I keep both her payment and the animals? Emiley had asked me about a few individuals in the group but she never notified me that she was interested in the group as a whole or that she was going to send payment. I have spoken with a few other individuals who have had similar unpleasant experiences with Emiley, so as far as loosing a potential return customer, I'm not heartbroken about this one.

I would be more concerned with losing a potential NEW customer. Based on what I have seen regarding your (and whoever you are speaking with about this) thoughts regarding business transactions, I know I won't be buying from you?:shrug01: I have a feeling that I am not the only one either.

There is no "she bought the animals so I should send them to her and not refund her money." That is pure B.S. As others have said already, she sent payment for the entire group. If she sent money thinking that she was purchasing the entire group and you sold some of that original group, you have to renegotiate the purchase because the terms have changed.

Oh also as far as others "having similar unpleasant experiences with her," either tell them to post it here or leave it out. Without proof they are just baseless accusations. PERIOD.

and then she went on another site and b!tched about it as if it were Emily's fault. i wish i could show screenshots but i know they are not allowed here.

Why on earth would you think it would be OK to force her to buy a different group than she thought she was paying for? What's so hard about clicking the "refund" button???

Why is it my fault that she did not check the post before sending payment? I'm not sure about anyone else, but I am a bit more careful with my money. Yes, I could have been a b!tch and said tough luck, you bought them fair and square, see you later. Instead I refunded her money and shared my situation with what I consider to be a bad buyer.

What did I force her to buy? Could you please let me know because I already pressed the refund button and should probably get some payment for what was forced upon her.

more like a bad seller to me

Because I did what she requested and shared my experience? Mmk.

No, because you posted a "Bad Guy" thread unjustifiably. You tried to force her into a transaction without both of you agreeing to terms. When it didn't go your way, you refunded but still decided that she was a "bad buyer." THAT makes you a bad seller.

-- you initially told her you weren't going to refund her (or is that email wrong)?
-- you posted a "bad guy" post on a potential buyer for a simple misunderstanding
-- you said in this post "some people" advised not to have refunded her... I'm telling you that's completely wrong.

I didnt try to force her into anything, she bought animals from me before agreeing to terms or even speaking to me about the group. Yes, I do stand by my opinion of her being a bad buyer. She wanted animals, then she didnt. As far as me being a bad seller, I have not sold her anything, just had an encounter with another individual that I did not particularly care for.

Bridgette you should have handled the matter as a professional. Two wrongs never made a right. This thread should not exist. The only person happy about what transpired is the one who got their radar project rolling. And the more you defend your actions the worse you look as a seller. It's on another forum too. You're digging a hole.

:icon_bs:

She paid you for a group of animals. Part of that group was no longer available so she asked for her money back. Your response was, nope sorry you already paid me so you are now required to purchase the remaining animals of the original group. How exactly is that NOT you trying to force her into the purchase?:shrug01:

Yes, I do stand by my opinion of her being a bad buyer. She wanted animals, then she didnt. As far as me being a bad seller, I have not sold her anything, just had an encounter with another individual that I did not particularly care for.

Read this part slowly because the it hasn't sunk in yet despite it being said numerous times already.........

She wanted a GROUP of animals. You sold off part of that group of animals and she did not want to proceed with the transaction for the remaining individuals. Yes, she should have been in better contact with you. HOWEVER, that does not give you the right to 1) hold her money hostage and attempt to get rid of the remaining geckos or 2) post a bad guy thread about her because you had to refund her money.

In the end you did the right thing by refunding her money. However, if you continue to run your business the way you have been shown to in this thread; you will have a very rough time here on fauna!

So seller and buyer have mis-communication ( happens all the time) buyer sends money for a group of animals, the group is no longer available so buyer requests all funds back as the grouping of animals is no longer what she intended to pay for.

It is at this point that seller should've refunded all amounts as the buyer as original group was no longer available.

Seller tries to strong-arm buyer ( based on dubious advice) into accepting animal grouping that buyer neither wants nor ever intended to pay for, a very poor business practice to say the least.

I think the only money the seller would've been entitled to is are Paypal fees lost ( if any) because it has been proven by the mod that the ad was changed to reflect sold status for grouping before monies were sent.

Glad you both worked this out, but I would caution the seller before accepting any other "advice" to think for a moment what would happen if they were put into the same position and forced to choose animals they neither wanted nor intended to pay for.

You are digging yourself deeper with each post. Even Emiley, who has an unfair and unjustified bad guy thread that will come up if anyone looks for her on the BOI, was willing to say "just a miscommunication".

The more you post, the more people you scare off with your lack of business ethics.

Actually she wanted a group of animals... and since part of the group was sold then it's within her rights to decline the rest of the group. Maybe those are the ones she really wanted of the group.

As for opinions.... You are beyond a bad seller. You're complaining about her sending you the money that was requested in the ad that you placed.

I thought this was settled last night when I went to bed. It was proven (at least IMO) that Emiley is NOT a Bad Guy, and that Bridgette (OP) had been on the proverbial fence. I was of the impression that she was a seller to be careful with, but she had made the right decision by refunding the full amount of money. (Maybe I tend to give second-chances too easily.)

Now that I've gotten up and read how the OP came back and dug a DEEP hole, I absolutely believe the OP to be a money-hungry, Bad Guy. Oh look, I FOUND money in my Paypal account. Doesn't matter if I no longer have what you purchased. You sent me money and now it's mine. Mine, mine, MINE!!! What kind of :censored: is THAT???

My policy is that I do not hold any animal without a minimum of a 25% non-refundable deposit. If more than one person sends their money in, trying to get a certain animal, the 2nd person (and on down the line) that sent in the money will get an immediate refund. PERIOD!

How is any money sent to you for something you no longer have available supposed to be considered YOURS???? You were never inconvenienced by the money being sent to you. It's ONE button that you had to push and it was over....kind of like your herp career if you don't own up to YOUR mistakes and quit digging that hole deeper!!

oh wow do you folks not sleep? lol

I had no idea this was on another forum as well. Anyone wanna pm me it so I can take a look?

As for more people having bad transactions with me.... I wonder why this is my first "BAD GUY" thread and not my eight? Or is there more on that other forum I don't know about? ;)

What is odd to me... Is I made a REAL BOI thread a while back... it got like thirty comments. haha she makes a funny one and people are all over it. Strange how this all works.
