In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Emiley Jones (Emileypaige776)

If I ever go to Florida, which is number two in the world for having the most aids. Or you come to Arizona, which isn't even in the top ten for having aids... you can give me a back rub or something to make up for the eleven bucks lost. That sounds fair.

Anyone who object say I.

I dont know what happened to the $11 and to be honest I couldnt give less of a :censored: I showed you what I was refunded and I dont know or care what happened to the rest of it.

Eleven dollars... really?

I don't give a crap if it is $1 or $1000. Money owed is money owed. The emails you provided read to me that you told paypal you refunded her $229 and $60 totaling $289. They then closed the dispute on the $300 because Emiley said it had been resolved. I don't see anywhere where it says your refund payments were canceled and the original $300 refunded to her, HENCE me asking for a screen cap.

I am glad to see however, that you level of "customer service" has been maintained and you have not learned a single freaking thing from this whole ordeal.

I dont know or care what happened to the rest of it.
:shootfoot, maybe if you cared more about customer service and making sure that the customer was not being taken advantage of you would not be in this situation?

And just think, you almost has it turned around a few posts ago and now this.:bandhead0

What was almost turned around? Everyone on here has already made up their minds about the situation. If you would have read the emails thoroughly, they stated that I was refunded $289, I have no idea what Emiley was refunded. I assumed she was refunded her payment of $300 and hence got her $11 back. I do not owe anyone anything, I have no more money in my name now than I did two weeks ago. I'm sorry about the $11 but what would you like me to do about it, I do not have it. As for my customer service, Emiley was never a customer, she has none of my animals and has never bought anything from me. I'm sorry if you feel that me sticking up for myself when I feel that people are trying to take me for a ride is wrong, but I was taught that if I don't stick up for myself, no one will. Truth.

The emails below don't show what paypal refunded you. Are you /sure/ they refunded you $289, and not $291? Because from what you posted before, they only had $291 on hold: $300 was placed on hold, but $9 was credited towards that for a potential fee refund!

And don't blame this debate over the $11 (probably more like $20 since Emily probably had more fees deducted from what you sent her) on Emily. She has stated repeatedly that she doesn't care. It's the rest of us who think it's bad business.

Also, you STILL haven't addressed the issue of why you sent the "refund" as a separate payment minus your fees and not as a refund/partial refund on the original transaction, thus saving the fees. Nor an apology for doing so if you messed up.
One is inclined to speculate you either did so out of spite, to "punish" Emily for sending you money too hastily (do you really want to discourage people from doing this?), or else you don't understand how paypal works and don't care to try to learn, in which case buyer beware.

Paypal deposited $289 into my account, meaning she has her $11 back. They refunded my 'pay backs' to her, so she indeed has her original $300. Here are the two emails I got from paypal (there are two because my 'pay backs' were sent in two payments.)

And yes I have addressed the issue of why it was not a "refund." I have never had to "refund" anything nor have I had anything "refunded" to me. Up until this point I had no idea a feeless refund button existed. But you're right, I must have done it out of complete spite.

Last time I checked.... 229+60 = 289 which means you still have $11 of hers. The emails you showed above just shows the transactions that were flagged for dispute (which happened to be the refund transactions).

You still owe your customer $11. Once you refund that amount.. then you can say she was never your customer. As long as you have her money.... she is your customer.

I do not know what happened to the remaining $11. What would you all like me to do, give Emiley $11 out of my pocket? I'm sure you would.

You're right... I can do the math. Refund of 289 (229+60) is NOT 300!!!!

I do not know what happened to the remaining $11. What would you all like me to do, give Emiley $11 out of my pocket? I'm sure you would.

The $11 is most likely missing because you failed to do the refunds properly (and paypal with held fees).... so yes.... you should refund from your pocket if necessary.

Otherwise you have stolen $11 from Emily. Do you honestly want to be known as a seller that will steal from her customers?

I do not know what happened to the remaining $11. What would you all like me to do, give Emiley $11 out of my pocket? I'm sure you would.

:yesnod:, yep actually. You can't penalize your customer because you did not know how to do a refund properly. And Kevin is right, until she is refunded all of her money she IS still your customer. Chalk it up to a learning experience about paypal. And yes, I think that if you made things completely right with Emiley it would look like you are trying to improve your business practices to anyone that reads the thread later.

Emileys original $300 went back to her (if it didnt I don't know where it went because I never had it) and my pay backs came back to me. Her money was placed back in her account, mine was placed back in mine. I dont know what you would like me to do here.

Emily didn't get her 300 back... she got the 289 you sent her as a payback... not a refund. I would be willing to bet not only is she out the $11 on your end... she also had fees taken out on her end because you sent her money... and didn't do a refund.

Make it right with your customer.... fix the error with the fee's

Once again, Emiley is not my customer. If she has an issue with the way Paypal goes about issuing refunds, she can take it up with the company. Her $300 is OUT of my account and my $289 is back IN my account.

Because I sent her $289 in "refunds." Would you rather her be funded $589? Her $300 plus my $289? Paypal essentially reversed or negated any transfers that were made between our two accounts. Her $300 payment went back to her (if it didnt then I couldnt tell you what happened to it) and my $289 came back into my account. Why is this so difficult to understand?

The problem is not how paypal issues refunds.... the problem is with how YOU issue refunds.
