Bad Guy Joseph Burleigh Needs to be REMOVED from posting to anyone's classifieds!

Btw - lest you think that some action was taken against you, you might want to read the announcements at the top of each section of the classifieds....the title of your thread indicates that you haven't done so, because registered members can no longer respond in the classifieds.

I saw some ads where you seem to have added in comments about people making nasty comments, but I didn't see any ads that actually had negative comments in them... I didn't read all your ads, though.

I think everyone here (maybe it's just me?) is still a little confused about what exactly and specifically are you saying he's done besides that PM? What is it you're wanting from a Moderator?

If it's just PMs from him then I agree you can just go to your User CP and put him on "ignore"- and then he can't PM you any more.

The OP deletes his ads regularly, noting that he's decided to keep them.....oddly enough, he keeps reposting them. You wouldn't be able to view the deleted ones. (I can, but I don't care to search every one of them to locate the comment. I did check his Miami County ad, but there was no comment there.)

He didn't say anything that terrible to you. Maybe he does have nicer snakes than you, maybe yours are priced too high. Localities are difficult, maybe he is right and the op is wrong.......
He could have explained it nicer, but if you do have the wrong localities listed maybe he thought the op was a scammer?

While I agree that his PM was unnecessary and the unsolicited editorial comments extremely rude, as someone else said, block him. If he were posting things like that in your ads it would be a completely different story but in private???? You need a thicker skin

If Iposted a Bad Guy Thread about everyone I have met in this industry who had acted like a jackass I would have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from all the typing

Wow. All this crap over an opinion i sent in a private message. I did finalize by saying they were nice animals BUT i am not a litlle kid I am a grown man and certainly entitled to my opinion weather people like it or not. His localities are true localities although the pictures do them no good. This was not my point. I was offended at the whole long winded story of how rare they were, and how hard to produce they were, ( he mentioned bad clutches ) like these were the elusive jewel of snakes. How big they get in the first year ( yet they looked like they were still in hatchling tubs) and that they were a steal at the price he was asking for them. I did not post in his thread because you are not supposed to state your opinion in a seller ad so I PM'd him. He then went to an old discussion forum thread, totally unrelated, blabbing and insulting me, now here we are.

And i do have many localities as well as morphs, not for any other reason than that I love my Bull Snakes!

I haven't looked at most of the OPs ads, but I did look at the one for his Kingsville red bulls...because the title stated "as RED as they come" (and I'm always looking to improve my red group). Unfortunately, typical of the crap a lot of people are peddling as reds, only one of them had even a hint of red. The pictures were poor, and out of focus so I asked for new ones - not really expecting to see much improvement. I ended up posting a thread in the discussion forum, with pics of my Kingsville reds (mine are pretty nice, but I wouldn't label them RED as they come - I've seen better)....I saw him viewing it, and shortly thereafter saw that he'd changed his title descriptor to Nice Colors.
In all fairness, as I mentioned, a LOT of people peddle crap as reds; so maybe he thought his were pretty awesome. I did chalk it up to him not knowing any better, and I give him credit for changing his ad when he realized it wasn't accurate.

His outburst in the genetics thread was uncalled for; and, without seeing this thread, one would have had no idea to whom it was addressed. In fact, it would have been easy to think it was directed toward the OP.

As far as the subject of this thread, I don't know anything about him....but he did try to tell the person in the genetics thread that he had a hybino, when the snake clearly had dark eyes. There can be any number of reasons for that mistake, so I won't suggest anything further. If he does have experience with bulls, and he received the song and dance he described, I can understand his desire to comment. (How could I deny that, when I felt compelled to respond to the Red as they come line.) His comment seems harsh for an out of the blue message, but he indicates that there was more interaction

Personalities clash, especially when two people are passionate about something. Looks like this little flare up resulted in some singed tailfeathers, and perhaps a bruised ego. Annoying? Sure. Bad Guy - I haven't seen enough to give either of them that label yet.

I sent this guy a Pm regarding a sales ad in the classifieds he had, expressing my opinion of his ad. He got quite upset and did all he could to insult and discredit me, started this thread, didnt get his way, and decided to punish us all by promptly removing himself from Fauna altogether lol! I admit that my PM did appear a bit childish ( my opening statement to him ) but it was my opinion regarding his tactics and advertising and I will stand firm on my opinion no matter what anyone says. Diplomacy is not allways a strong suit for me. Sorry for the disturbance.

While I have already stated that the OP's reaction was way out of proportion to the offense, you were definitely out of line

It was all in reference to his ad. He changed another ad AFTER someone called him out on his reds being " the best he's ever seen". This from someone with 30 years of Snake Keeping. I don't care what others say about this ( you ARE entitled to your opinion ) but that kind of Bologna just offends me, Frankly it pisses me off. I like my snakes, average or high end, i wont push them as anything but what they are.

If you don't like what you're reading from someone, then discontinue reading it and delete it.

Now because your ads aren't being monitored (which apparently you didn't bother reading the note on the classifieds section about no one being allowed to post replies in classifieds anymore...), you're going to pack up your bags; like a small child throwing a tantrum; and leave?
