In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

James Tyler Logan-So i got a savanna monitor yesterday around 2 pm, he was non responsive when i got him out of the box, but he was still alive, i try to feed him, but he wouldnt eat, so i put him in his new tank, where i come home to find him died!! www.reptilecity.com is where i ordered it from, and they said there was nothing they could do about it. They have some really really unbeatable prizes and good comments from other buyers, thats what lead me to order from there. But please let me inform all you guys thats thinking about buyng from there, you have been warrend, i just dont want the same thing to happen to you as it did to me.
Thank you
~Tyler.

James, I understand you're upset about your new monitor arriving in bad condition and dying, but you've got to give the seller a chance to make things right before blasting them in a permanent thread on the BOI.

I am wondering why the monitor didn't arrive until 2PM. Did Fed Ex run late? Or was it not scheduled for an Overnight Priority delivery? Just wondering, especially considering how hot it's been lately.

I have to agree with the above. Also a question that comes to mind is what did you try to feed, and why? Putting food in with a non-responsive animal, especially if it was live food is not good!

If it's true that you just now got a chance to respond, I hope you ask for proof of death before issuing refund! Again if true, OP, Why would you post this and not give Felton a chance to rectify it? Did you think they were a 24/7 business?

Just my two cent's on this, when I was shipping snakes to remote areas of TN and KY, FedEx said they can arrive late, somewhere around 2pm I think. Not sure if he is in a "remote" area, but I will try to find that info.

I don't know if it applied in this case, but for informational purposes:

FedEx Priority Overnight®: next-business-day morning

Service Details
Delivery Times Next-business-day delivery by 10:30 a.m. to most U.S. addresses; by noon, 4:30 p.m. or 5 p.m. in remote areas; by noon, 1:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Check transit times.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 358 people, 141 households, and 102 families residing in the city.

Looks to be out of the way.

Ah...I wasn't even thinking of that. Still had a bad experience stuck in my head when someone saved (literally) like $3 to ship to me by 3PM the next day, instead of 1030 (also in the Summer!). Nevertheless, it sounds like the seller is taking care of this problem. Hope to hear an update soon!

This too caught my attention. If anything, I would have offered it a spritz of water from a spray bottle to see if it might drink a little - but if it was totally unconcious, it probably was best to be left someplace cool and dark, sort of like you would treat a bird in shock. Just my $0.02

Open and shut case. Kid orders lizard, Lizard comes in bad shape, Has a panic attack over night, Opens a BOI. Just wondering why he would say they couldn't do anything if they never had a chance to respond yet? :NoNo:

Glad to see the seller is a stand up person deff

also :iagree: should never attempt to feed a non responsive animal.

:iagree: If you're going to expect a business to answer you at any minute of the day or night, shouldn't we expect the same from you?? :shrug01:

:iagree: . So far, this looks like a case of premature e-postulation (copyright fee forwarded to Tony). This looks like one of the 'bad guy' threads that really will wind up as a 'good guy' threat for the accused (Reptile City) and backfire for the OP.

Well, i told him i was not interested in a refund, and had told him to just be more careful with the reptiles. Another thing, it wasn't Fedex. It was UPS and it was 7 day shipping.

Am I the only one that's REALLY confused now?? You immediately blasted Reptile City, saying that they refused to do anything, BEFORE they had an opportunity to even answer you, and now you don't want your money back...:shrug01:

??????????? then what do you want?????????????

And you agreed to "7-day shipping"? Is that the norm when shipping this species?

The site says overnight shipping 19.95. Not interested in a refund? I may be way off here but I'm thinking some one was hoping to score a free second monitor.
