In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Help with a friendly wager - enchis with a lesser twist

Dang Harald that sucks... I know what its like I've had a DIE one last season. I waited for the first to pip then cut the others, if I went with my gut feeling that I SHOULD have cut the eggs, maybe the baby could have been saved. Maybe not. Never will know. But it changed my mind on waiting for the first to pip before cutting. I hope your other two little ones make it out okay and are sweet happy little buggers for ya! :)

On a side note, have you ever thought of putting caulk in the drain hole of your bator/cooler?

I have thought about sealing it a few times over the years, but I like that it is easily reverted back to a functional cooler (not that I have ever bothered to do so). Is there a reason I should put caulk in it?

It will help keeping unwanted critters from flying and/or crawling into your bator. Of course there's always a chance of something flying in when you open it, but its less likely.

But I've never had an issue with unwanted critters in my incubators...why fix what isn't broken?

Well people...day 55 here....I traced out a safe spot on the egg (wanted to avoid cutting veins lol) and sliced into it today

here is my first showing of how much of a boob egg Uno really is lol

Well....at least it isnt a normal

To me it looks like a lesser....but is clean...

Cutting the egg didn't put me to rest yet...what ya guys think?

lesser enchi. sweet. nice and clean, even though that has to be one of the ugliest fertile eggs i've ever seen.

UNO!!!!

hehe

So I peeked at him once more...he shifted a little in his egg....I could see his belly and kinda up one side of him...

he is banded....lol....and very blushy...but still hard to tell...that stripe he seems to have in pic #2 is throwing me off a little lol
I wish I could see his face lol...that would help

I can see his umbilical cord protruding out of his belly lol

That's what I always think is funny about cutting eggs. I always cut them and then still have no idea what I got....

At least you know it's not a normal, and looks to either be lesser or possibly lesser enchi. The yellow stripe looking thing is what interests me. I can't wait to see it after it's first shed, congrats.

That egg sure was ugly, but looks like you did better than me. My one egg clutch from a bee to pastel produced a pastel.... It'll probably be a male too. :shrug01:

Well...I went out for dinner...came home and had to check on Uno of course

Uno has shifted in the egg

and I have to say...I'm more and more sure that we hit a winner :D

I wish I could get better pics....but my camera just dosn't like being that close lol

he is gonna be a tiny thing that's for sure....I'm hoping he pulls through strong and healthy...oh please please please....
