In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Matt Miller of Matt Miller Reptiles. Lying about snakes that are his own.

Who gives a shit who's snake it is stop crying like a bunch of elementary school kids.

This post is very "elementary school".

It seems like this whole thing was a misunderstanding and not intentional. It probably could have been avoided if everyone just talked to each other privately.

I have done a lot of business with matt, he is honest! He's owned a lot of snakes including Several female purple albino tigers. I saw them with my own eyes and they looked like what's on his facebook

just doing a basic read through on this here is my take...

Who ever owns the snake, owns the snake and has the rights to any new photos or use of said photos.

Who ever took the old photos has rights to use those photos how ever they damn wish.

So really paul i don't see what the problem is unless he is trying to pass this animal off as his own/trying to sell it or its offspring to someone while trying to con them for more money than something is worth.

just because/if/maybe you did own the same snake at one time, you no longer do? why do you concern yourself with something that no longer attains to you?

not trying to be an ass but let who ever owns the photos take it up with miller to resolve copyright issues or allow the authorities and the buyers deal with any fraud that may or may not be happening.

Crypt I see your point 100%. But Matt is very reputable, no BS kind of guy. If this would be a so called "no namer" or someone who has no references then I could see your frustration. If you would have called Matt instead of giving him a time limit, this could have easily been worked out. But whats done is done. Matt has some awesome retics and so do you. So this is just a HUGE misunderstanding and lets file this one away!!!!!

This post provides just enough blood in the water for all the BOI sharks, detectives and wannabe moderators to wet their beaks. Play on!

Does it REALLY matter who owns the snake??? If someone took photos of a snake and then sells it, does that mean he no longer has the right to post photos of the snake? My god... my daughter has arguments with her friends about petty stuff like this and i tell her to suck it up and stop... Grow up! Who cares... they are PHOTOS!

wow do ppl really have nothing better to do... why not use the BOI for things that actually matter you know like scammers, thieves, acts of animal cruelty ect.......lmao wow just wow on this one.

Reading this BOI was a waste of 5 minutes of my life.
On a side note I better check my facebook photos and make sure I don't have any pics of snakes I have sold. Just in case....

In this case, Matt happens to be well known/respected (though I, myself, only know "of him" but do not actually know him).
Also, in this case, the stories/ownership are true, for both parties, and it was a simple mistake of posting an incorrect photo.
I do not believe this warranted a Bad Guy thread (due to limited info/facts) and, after the fact, was needless (due to info that came out).

However, my take is that this thread was not started because of the use of photos (as some seem to think it was). It was started because someone (Matt) had stated he owned the snake in the very same time frame that someone else (the OP) had owned the snake.
Usually, someone posting a photo of a snake that they did not own, and claiming they did own it, would raise red flags. Even more so if they are asked (privately) about the photo and they ignore the person questioning them.
I don't know about anyone else but, if someone else claimed they owned a snake that I actually owned (or that I had owned in the same time frame as someone claiming they owned it), it would upset me.
Also, if someone claimed they owned a snake that they did not own (regardless of whether it was mine or not), it would raise red flags to me.
Thus, I can see the OP's point of view at the time he started this thread.

The great thing is that this can, now, be laid to rest (at least for my mind ;) ) since it was not a case of someone claiming they owned a snake, that they did not own, and was, in fact, just a simple mistake of posting an incorrect photo (correct info/incorrect photo).:)

wow i seen a post about a guy my friends deal with and im interested in dealing with and wasted 20 minustes reading this to learn matt martin produced to purple tigers and pictures got confused (which the male purple is owned by personal friend amanda gentsy). in this bad guy thread which never gets deleted matt miller gets accused of basically copyright infringemnet of a photo not a bad guy topic if you ask me. on top of that on pages 1&3 the snake was hatched in 2008 and 2009 just to prove a point accidents happen and would it be fair to start a bad guy thread for the mixed up years.

I think you may have missed the part where there are actually two snakes in question...One is a female and the other is a male. Both produced by the same guy and photos were taken by the same guy. I think Matt Miller either owned or owns the female, but posted a photo of the male by mistake? This is way more confusing than it should be, but it doesn't seem to me that Miller is a Bad Guy.

Sorry if I screwed any of the facts up.

Sorry...I didn't read the end of your post. :shootfoot

Edit: I'm on a roll here! This is the part I overlooked.

I didn't miss that part.;)
The OP owned a male and Matt owned a female.
Matt posted the correct info (he did own that female) but posted the incorrect photo (the photo was of the OP's male snake).
