Lots of variation in het reds, no doubt about that.

My two het reds, which are definately het reds, look very different then the 'cinny' looking ones pictured. And yes, the are for sure het reds.

Very subtle morph and very, very hard to distinguish (at times). But, as far as the snake which started this thread, I do not see het red in it. Just because it has a black back, does not mean its het red. I would just see what it throws out and then go from there. There is so much variation with axanthics even that you could be right on it being axanthic. I would just line breed and see what happens. Good luck!
