sounds to me like both parties are just done with all this
On another note its not that hard to treat for mites, it took me a whole 30 mins to take care of one snake. If she had to treat her entire collection because of this, shame on her for not educating herself on PROPER quarintine techniques.
its all about perception. i generally dont pay hundreds of dollars to go to any park, and misquitos are something that is in the environment and you knowingly go out in that environment. mites are a skin attatched parasite that can and should be prevented and a snake has no defense against them, we have defense against misquitos. snakes (and all pets) rely on us solely as their caretaker in all aspects, from proper microenvironment to proper feeding to proper handling and so on.
misquitos to us are a complete 180 from mites/tics on snakes and other animals
now, all that being said, if mulitple animals are being purchased in a short amount of time, it is hard (unless proper documentation is being made with each purchase and arrival) to pin point where parasites or other contagious diseases truly come from
i assume that wasnt in reference to my post(s)
and flease, ticks, mites and misquitos all carry some nasty transmittable stuff (some zoonotic) to each of their "victims"
of course, not as bad as being locked up with a child molester. i must have missed that post
haha
interesting twist with the refund
Nope that's not what happened. There were all different life stages of mites. Its possible that shipping day was the time the mites were set to hatch by nature and crap happens.
He belongs behind bars wit child molesters!!!!!

rcpreis3,
I was in the hobby around six months or so before I posted a bad guy thread. But I'm not sure why that would matter?

Wheres your proof, are you a vet?
Yes you are right... many breeders want the snake returned before any refund is issued and for good cause since there are many buyers that are scammers however many breeders are also scammers and they are well aware of this "send back or no refund" practice so these unethical breeders are more than willing to ship sick snakes knowing the buyer will take pity on the snakes and probably won't send them back because of shipping cost or due to being scared the snake will die in transit. I don't like any buyer or seller that takes advantage of anyone but I have a feeling the buyer got screwed over on this one.
Your asking him a catch-22 question. If this person sent a sick snake covered in mites why would anyone trust them to refund the money when it was sent back? I sure wouldn't trust them.
