• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It's worth a shot at asking them if they can help you with the fraud.

Thanks, some of the emails listed arent even created.

I called Micorsoft about my msn/live one and they said that account dont exsist. So I went ahead and signed up and sure enough i now own the @live.com one now.

The email search looks like it was bringing back random emails.

So i can safely say i own [email protected],@gmail.com,@[email protected](ymail)
All of which i can log into no problems.

The hotmail one im still looking into information about it.

Whether you own the e-mail or not doesn't matter... someone intent on scamming others in your name can still put YOUR email (even the ones you use most often) in the From: area by forging the headers. It's sad that people are doing this in the reptile industry >.<

I believe forging headers is a federal crime though so if you have a suspicion of who it could be, especially if it happens again (and it appears to come from your e-mail), perhaps make a report to your local police station and/or the feds themselves.

Here is a resource for detecting fake headers: http://www.rahul.net/falk/mailtrack.html

I searched the IP and it seems like that provider is used for a lot of unscrupulous activity. Makes me figure that they won't respond to any reports but it's always worth a try.

Thanks for the information. All emails that I personally signed up for i have access to them. Im waiting on Microsoft to contact back about the Hotmail one with information on who it is and when account will be banned.

I wont stop till this finished of who did it.

Ive now came up with this ip from the original email Not sure if its a generic email server or what, but this comes from Missouri

66.96.187.8

I don't think we are dealing with a spammer. The info was to precise aimed at scamming myself then probably the end result would have been we both would have ended up with tarnished reps. Me for falsely accusing you and even false accusations have a way of creating shadows of doubt at times.

It is more than likely someone that knows you, has a reason to not like you, frequents fauna (as a member or guest), knows about computer IP addresses and routing, knows about ball python morphs, and probably hard on their luck right now as they were not looking at a couple hundred dollar scam that would target your reputation only, they were looking at something profitable. Granted of course I think if the scam is for items valued over $300 or something like that it becomes a felony. If I could gather enough info on the person and they were here in Michigan I would definately press charges for the attempted scam.

I don't mean that it's your run of the mill spam, but that the mail server is one known for spam.

Follow the trail... contact Mr. Brock and maybe he can assist you (as server admin of that mail server) with discovering the identity of the fraudster.

If you find out who it is, nail him to the wall.

Sorry this is happening. It's a shame there are people out there who refuse to earn an honest living.
