In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Repti racks

You could have just left it alone, and let Nick get his cage...but that wasn't good enough.
You made all sorts of noise, and (after it was stated that the cage was shipped) posted that you were doing a chargeback - and that nothing was going to change your mind - so repti-racks did the only thing they could reasonably be expected to do...they rerouted the cage to the person that placed the order and paid for it. You.
So you not only misled Nick with a good deal on a cage, now you are planning on keeping his money indefinitely? What a piece of.............work. Nick should give you a negative Trader Rating (I'll pay his subscription fee, as soon as he contacts me with his username and intent to do so), and create a BOI thread in your name: I'm sure most people doing a search wouldn't read this whole thread, since you started it about another company - but, just to be sure that it gets picked up in a search of your name: Rud3Bwoy, Almando Boochoon.
You'd already turned a lot of people away from doing any kind of business with you; I'm sure this will turn some others - regardless of how much you think it won't affect you.

Wow... just... wow.

I came here looking for info on Repti-Racks, and what I found was quite enlightening. At least I found out what I wanted to know about RR, but not after getting a major headache wading through the grammar and spelling atrocities, and attempting to sort out the "logic" spewed forth by the OP.

In my personal opinion, I agree with what most others here have said after finding out the rack has been rerouted to you, and implore you to refund Nick immediately. It's unfair that not only is he missing out on a fantastic deal on this cage, but he has also had his name dragged through the mud by you. I would be ashamed to admit that I had taken any part in this transaction, and can't blame Nick for wanting to lay low from this thread.

To the OP: I still cannot even believe that you had the audacity to even initiate a charge back after all was said and done. A deal had been worked out between your customer, and the company who was supposed to be your supplier. At that point, you should have been happy that an arrangement had been worked out between them for the better. Personally, I still would have posted about the lead times in the other thread associated with that matter instead of creating a new one (although I'm glad you did, as I doubt it would have been very useful had the other thread been cluttered with this garbage). I do have a legitimate question for you, though. In all of your posts, you stated that you ordered and paid for the cage in July. However, you requested a change in cage size in September (far more than 4 weeks, the original lead time). If I remember correctly, it was shortly after that, that you sold the yet unfinished cage to Nick (I find it hard to believe that someone would purchase something that the "owner" doesn't even have yet, but that can slide this time). AFTER that was when Nick had requested that the size be changed back to the original. Now, I'm not sure how it works in the cage making industry, but I'm fairly certain that parts and materials have to be ordered before they can start manufacturing the cage. How do you know that the reason they wanted to add a small charge to the order wasn't because they had already ordered the materials for the change that you had requested, and that by changing back to the original, they would have to order a new set of materials specifically for that cage?

I know I don't post on here much (or at all, as I choose to remain a lurker on forums like this), so you can take what I say with a grain of salt (sea salt is preferable, as I find it quite delicious with margaritas), but I would like you to think about what everyone else has said.

i was told by repti racks i can change the size as it won't make any difference or any delays due to the fact that they have not worked on my order as yet,the reason i changed the size was due to the fact that i thought 4x2 was to big, anyway nick was fine with a 3 ft cage until he seen the actual order and said fine why not take the 4ft since it was already paid for,ONCE AGAIN the cage was not built and the parts for the 4ft was ordered months ago before sept so yea.

on a side note repti racks told me in email they sent out everything i ordered which i posted a few pages back so as you can see the size change did not really make a difference as repti racks just built the enclosure a week or two ago.

You have issues with comprehension, apparently...is that your explanation for how you got into this mess? I'll spell it or for you, typing as slowly as I can, so it is easier for you to understand.....
You are not giving Nick his money NOW. You are making him wait until you sell HIS cage (he did pay you for it, some time ago) to somebody else. Since there is no telling how long he will have to wait for you to return his money, you are keeping his money indefinitely - which is what I said. (I did not end my statement at "You are planning on keeping his money")

The reality of this is that you should send him his cage. The only reason he isn't getting it is because of your antics. Why would you think it is acceptable to screw him over, when his only fault was buying from you and patiently waiting for his cage? If you won't man up and do the right thing, you should go with the second best option and SEND NICK HIS MONEY - IMMEDIATELY.

1:nick has not emailed or called me.i also sent nick a email on the matter waiting on a response.

2:i am sure i will get it sold rather quickly as i had posted vivs here and on craigslist and got responses with a few days.

so i am sure nick won't have a issue,if he does he can call or pm or email or facebook me.

the fact is i can't send him the cage, they would charge 150.00 to ship this maybe more, unless i can call ups and re route it again?

Since you are the receiver, you SHOULD be able to do that with a quick call to their 800 number. Just make sure that you have the tracking information available before you make the call, and the address you would like it rerouted to. If you don't want to do an immediate refund, that does sound like an acceptable solution, if it were me involved.

i will call them asap as soon as there call center opens up today and find out.i have nicks addy and tracking so that won't be a issue.

if shipping was only 20-30 bucks sure not a problem but 150/over i can buy a critter condo for that

I'm really hoping that they're able to do that for you, as that would be a great end to this thread, and a way for us to confirm that you want to do right by Nick. After reading this thread all of the way through, I've been hoping for a happy ending. Here's to hoping that this can be it.

yea i hope so to i want nick get the cage trust me and it will save me the hassle of trying to sell it

The recipient cannot do that, under ordinary circumstances - the shipper is the one that can reroute a package (and that isn't always easy).

so i am sure nick won't have a issue
How can you be so sure? He sent you the money for the cage because he wanted it. He quickly followed up with Repti-racks....you guessed it - because he wanted it. He later contacted them with his shipping info, presumably because he still wanted it. He's got every reason to be upset with you pulling the rug out from under him on this deal...and even more reason to be upset that you're taking such a cavalier attitude about jerking him around on his refund. My offer to him stands.

well not to be rude but it's my offer to him not yours.i will deal with this on my terms, either ill try and contact ups and get it re routed if not tough luck ill try and re sell it this week hopefully for more than 120 and give nick some extra for the hassle

Your offers to him obviously aren't worth the time it takes you to make them - you offered him the cage for $120, remember. Obviously you are going to do what you want, and probably never quite grasp why so many people disagree with your course of action through so much of this thread.

so i guess i should be screwed over in the process and pay 150 to have it shipped to hi after i spent 313

190

and on top of that 150 LOL.righttttttttttttttttt

I think you should have honored your sale, and not interfered. Maybe you thought Nick would get his cage, and it was Repti-Racks that you were trying to screw over. Either way....

I's ask if $150 is worth trashing your rep, but your rep is in the toilet anyway.
:toiletcla

really don't care what people think of me on the net btw just saying.i live for me not others anyway hopefully ill know what the deal is today
