    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We sent that link out early today to some of our customer base also, hopefully it will somewhat help "even the odds" a bit, unfortunately though, as a response from several people that I've seen, there has been more aggressive/angry arguments over the post rather than trying to help spread the poll to others that would vote into whichever favor you are going for. Hopefully more people will get together and spread the votes out more! :)
 
My wife runs a parrot rescue so shes hitting up her customer base through FACEBOOK....
The more we make aware of the poll the better....

Do you really believe that politicians are going to review the results of that poll? Oh sure, they might refer to it as supportive if it says what they want...but, if the results aren't overwhelmingly against exotics, it will simply be ignored. That kind of poll is essentially useless...and this one isn't even current (it was started in October, after all; and they've done 25 since then - including Do you believe in ghosts and goblins?, Do You Believe Kim Kardashian's Story?, and Should a Person Go to Jail for Feeding Ducks?).

Understood...but when are they supposedly looking at the results? Have they looked at them already? I've seen these types of polls dredged up for all sorts of things, typically urging responses sure to some pending review or legislative attempt.....but, in just about every case, it is an older poll (I've seen them as old as 6 yrs, so at least this one is current in comparison).
Sorry, but I have a difficult time buying the idea that a Fox News poll is the source that will sway legislators/politicians. If you want your voice to be heard, you're better off addressing your representatives.



Then again, these are legislators/politicians we're talking about; so common sense may not play much of a role here. The terms in the poll are suitably vague, so the "common" response will be based on whatever media event precipitated it (as opposed to what the meaning would actually be in any bill proposed.)

As stated previously, this poll was started in October. No one in our community had any idea of it. When I received the original email yesterday, the "yes" votes were at 3000. I am very pleased to see us all pull together when needed to help our hobby!

Even if it isn't scientific data, at least we all pull together in times of need to address these issues!
 
Sweet...in three days the Reptile community made that big of a difference...even if it is an old poll its nice to know when there is a fight we can come together in a small way and try to make a difference.

Even if it was a rather stupid old poll, I still got a warm fuzzy watching our numbers skyrocket over the last few days. It was a really amazing thing to watch. We are an awesome community that I'm super proud to be a part of :)
