Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I think you're standing alone with the bolded portion of that statement...I don't think anybody else would give him a +1 (on any scale) based on how he has handled this situation. The only way for him to have gotten even a neutral rating would have been to refund your money as soon as he decided you weren't getting the cage.

History says he will... I agree with you 110% but unfortunately not everyone is aware of this site, his business practices and what level of character (or lack thereof) he has. Any amount of investigating will reveal so all I can do is keep my fingers crossed that he falls off the face of the earth.

just because you dumped a brand new viv for $50 (??) shouldn't hold up refunding Nick what he paid for a cage he never got. Plus now you are even more 'out of pocket'.

If you hadn't initiated the charge back (the very NEXT day after reptiracks said they scheduled shipment to Nick) - none of this would have happened. Hopefully you have learned something from this, have patience, don't sell something that you don't have in your hands, and if you do sell something, don't spend the money until your CUSTOMER is satisfied.

It is my professional medical opinion that he is incapable of learning right from wrong. That trait is developed very early in life and it clearly skipped him. He is obviously amoral and may well be a sociopath. It is pointless to expect him to act in an ethical manner. One of these days he will trick the wrong person and end up in jail or worse.

You cannot teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
 
LOL so much responses anyway me and nick are speaking about the refund on fb this morning but he left during the convo, if i wanted to scam him i would of cut all ties with the guy,anyway have fun preaching to my ears which it goes through one and out the other:laugh:
 
not sure why everyone is all worked up while me and nick is working it out,funny how people didn't get so worked up about repti racks when they took months to give me what was mines,when it has only been a week i am delayed on nicks payment anyway don't matter because at the end of the day there is nothing anyone can do,this is between me and nick

Its painfully obvious that nick is going to get ripped off and if you read his earlier post i think he knows it.Anyways almondo,i hope you grow up and get out of this hobby because its people like you who really bring us down.I'm done with this thread you are a total waste of time.I just feel sorry for nick to have ever gotten involved with you!

Nick doesn't HAVE to get ripped off. If he does get ripped off, it's basically HIS laid-back attitude that helped him get conned.

Advice has already been given that can assist Nick in getting his money back, he does not HAVE to wait for Almond (pun intended) to refund him.

Nick, one of the ways that Con Artists work is "divide and conquer." If he can convince you that WE are the "bad guys," you'll continue to wait and hope...and he'll keep talking to you. Just because he's talking to you now, means nothing...when he has you separated enough that you may feel embarrassed about coming back and saying posting that you never did get your money back...THEN he may stop communicating with you.

Someone that tries to do a charge back, right after being told that the rack is being shipped to the one that paid for it (shipping to you would have prevented YOU from being ripped off) isn't anyone to trust, imo.

Me, I'm 57 years old and I don't have time to let other people play games with my money or time, so you can bet that no matter how "sweet" he may be talking, I would be talking sweet back while getting my money back though PayPal, or if I paid him with a Credit Card though PayPal, I would get a Charge Back.

Just a update nick has gotten back 169.00

his total that he sent me originally was 120.00 not 150 that was a error,so he got back a extra 49 dollars not much but it's something.

nick can confirm the refund with everyone.sorry nick for this hassle.

no lol,i was never going to rip nick off,that was never my intentions and he knows that,i kept in contact with nick ever since i met him on fauna through facebook and i personally went on google to find his info when i lost contact with the guy

just i hate when people assume things for no reason,that is why i have the snotty attitude,nick is at work so he can't reply from what he told me so he should reply sooner or later.

Intents can't be read though words, :shrug01: actions are more visible and easily read. If you hadn't intended to rip off Nick, there was no reason to initiate or threaten to initiate a charge back when Repti informed you that they would ship the rack to the actual buyer. In fact, you should have been thankful that they were saving you the hassle.

The fact that you did (attempt a chargeback) in light of the information given, is what led to the assumptions that you were going to scam him, and, IMO, they were logical assumptions based on your current actions, and the members' past experiences with this type of behavior. :yesnod:

I am glad (I am sure many are, too) that this was resolved...now Welcome!
 
just a update on why nick hasn't responded,he has gotten his refund but haven't got time to respond to the thread and all since the day of the refund.none the less it's all solved

 
As long as it took you to refund his money, I wouldn't be in a hurry to sing your praises either. If you really didn't know Nick before, then basically this was a case of you borrowing money from a complete stranger for a few months. The extra money you spent could be looked at as the interest charge. Maybe he doesn't want to post here for 45 days because he is afraid you will do a charge back once he does.

not a problem,nick got his money that's all that matters,i kept in contact with nick since day one of this purchase and never ever avoided him in anyway,at the end nick still got his money and then some,if i wanted to scam nick i would of removed the guy and stop responding to this thread a long time ago nor even make this thread.but we are both happy so that's all that matters.
 
You can't be serious that you actually think anything Nick can post will salvage your credibility. You killed it impossibly dead with your own mouth and actions. Anybody with a tiny amount of sense would run away from you quickly after reading your posts in this thread.

Plus you said about a dozen times that you don't care what anybody thinks of you. What changed?
