In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Amanda Fisher= snake-theif.

I don't know if it's been brought up or not but she has at least two user names here on fauna.

Little more digging and some information, It came to my attention that the snakes OP sent were half sick, mite and tick covered. Which is why ashley didnt send payment.

If this is True, I wouldnt pay for them either nor send them back to the op...

Can you say where you found this info?

I could but then it becomes third party. She told the person today that told me about this. Said she had pictures of this as well. Which i want her to post it here to clear her name on this.

Till then im Neutral

Then it's an anonymous third party quotation, which is against the BOI rules. If you can't post who said it, then it doesn't belong here.

this is interesting.. i have her on my facebook she is one of my firends so i can look at her posts.. she said she is thinking about making a new facebook.. never knew she was such a dirty dealer..

Nice that this story comes out 6 months after the fact...

Why didn't Amanda address this with Mark when she received the snakes?

He also told her they would need to undergo parasite treatment.

I'm sorry, but Amanda is in no way excused from paying shipping on these snakes. When you're dealing with fresh imports, it's a big gamble...she just got it way over her head thinking she was getting 11 free snakes. After going back and rereading post #22, I'd definitely say she is still on the hook for this. Hard to stay neutral...

here is our pay pal showing that we asked for a return and she never responded to it

Are you sure of this? I've seen many pet stores and individuals that own ASF's in Missouri. I would be shocked if this is true considering Missouri has some of the most relaxed laws in the US concerning owning exotic animals. Oh by the way I only live 20 minutes away from you!!! Nice to see a fellow neighbor on here. :)

If (not sure if I believe it or not) the snakes were sent sick then Amanda should have had the local animal control come over and inspect their health to get some documentation, then she should have shipped the snakes back considering she had not even paid for them. It's not right for someone to send unhealthy animals but however it's just as bad to keep the snakes without paying for them. She's a thief IMO.

Actually, it IS true. Google made it really easy. ;)

I asked the conservation dept. They are illegal, any multimammate is illegal to own here. I used to have the link to the page where it states that in the law, but can not find it. Surprisingly mystery snails are listed as invasive and are thus illegal in MO but since no one reports the stores they keep selling them. Shops are NOT the place to get info on the legality of owning animals they sell.

Im assuming he never got any money? I see she just keeps on about her business on facebook. Looking into bloodballs and has a pinstripe male for trade right now. What seems really weird to me is that her facebook page has 1 picture of her kids, and NONE of herself what so ever. Then about 50 snake pics. Which was odd she posted a pic of a pied yet nothing on her facebook, personally if I had a pied there would be 10 photos on there. Also every pic she has is in a tub, no rack pictures, or cages of any kind. Just seems sneaky or weird to me.

Yeah no pictures of her soits easier to scam people I guess plus that's the same pin she wouldn't send to us after we bought it I've called.her.out.on it and she has said nothing. And she talks about getting a new Facebook so I'm just staying on top of her post trying to warm people
