In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What is your all time favorite pet? (Doesn't have to be a reptile)

My all time favorite pet in the whole wide world, would have to be a... are you ready? Really, really, really, really ready???? It would have to be either a Hognose snake or a fully grown Coastal Carpet Python!!! Oh boy, Morelia Rules!!!!

My all time favorite pet? My dog. No other animal I have ever owned I would consider a family member. Snakes, lizards, birds, cats, horses... those are all cool, but I don't think any come close to the amount of loyalty, dedication, and selflessness a dog can give its owner.

My dogs - hands down.
(my alligator was pretty awesome...but it just isn't the same)

I have to say my dogs as well. I like my snakes, lizards, turtles, and birds, I've even got a pretty darn cool fish, but my dogs are part of the family and I wouldn't take anything for them.

My Rat, Polydectes. RIP. He was so smart and sweet. Shortly after I first got him he escaped. I spent all night looking for him, to in the morning discover he had gone back to his cage on his own. After that I started letting him out and he would come back to me. I taught him and his brother to come when called. When he got pneumonia the doctor gave him a 50/50 chance of living. He suggested I put him to sleep but instead I spent over $100 on several meds which I had to give him twice a day for a month. Miraculously, he pulled through and live another year before passing. Another amazing thing about Poly, he was a hermaphrodite. I started out with just him and his brother. They lived together for two years, as BOYS. One day in my boys cage I woke up to babies... dead babies however. Upon inspection Poly was the ... um .. mother. He gave birth to more later on the way to the vet, all dead however. Amazingly his testicles had been pulled back into his body and were no longer visible. It was speculated that the pregnant female rat we had taken in triggered the hormone change as this occured a few weeks after she gave birth. The vet said if he hadn't witnessed it himself, he would not have believed it. Poly was my little miracle. After he passed I became emotionally detached from my pet rats and eventually parted with them.

I found an elderly cocker spaniel on the highway. She was 80% blind, totally deaf, so she lived the rest of her life no more than a foot away from me. If I went out, she laid at the door immobile until I got back. We were quite attached to each other.

I have 2 my dogs AND my cats. Both my cats are rescues. One I actually adopted and the other, my female kitten, Ariel found us. She was on our doorstep in below freezing weather covered in oil and skin and bones. :( She now has the prettiest, soft red and white long fur ever. It's so soft that her collar causes it to get matted if I don't brush her. Ari, my other cat was a surrender. he's half siamese and half himalayan. He looks like a purebred siamese and spends all the time he can on laps. :) Our dogs are always somewhere near me because they just can't stand to have me out of their sight. One of the dogs was a rescue and took 3 months before he really trusted us. Don't know what breeds he is, but we're going to have a DNA test done to see what he is. :)

We've had my dog for about eight years now. She's a shiba inu, a wily and independent breed. Always entertaining and very clever, if not annoying when she's in the mood for it.
"You're getting dressed? You're leaving...without me!? Well not anymore! See that! Stole your sock right off your foot! Can't catch me! And I'm just going to toss this...underneath the bed! Ha! Try leaving now! And when you lay down to get the slobbery sock, I'll steal your other one off! Bwahaha!"
Frustrating as she can be, she offers companionship and intelligence on a level that snakes can't reach. You can't really play games or cuddle with snakes (at least not easily...) LOL but I still love all my pets!

Toucans are awesome. I knew someone who had one, and I wanted one until I developed a bird allergy. :(

Thanks for the replies, yall. :)

I held one of those at a pet shop the other day & seriously wanted to bring him home! They are such cuties.

Well since the only pets i have are my snakes, I'm going to have to say '06 normal female BP. She is the most amazing pet i have ever had. I got her full grown from RadPythons. When i got her home and opened her pillow case, she immediately started climbing my arm and proceeded to flick her tongue in my ear. It was incredible. Never have i had an animal take such an immediate shine to me. I love it. :D

Our Octopus is a pretty cool pet. lol I forgot him and I wanted to say he was one of my favorites too. :) Only thing against him is I know he won't live too long. :(

Reptiles are my favorite group but favorite single animal? my old kitten smudge. she would guard my door at night and walk me to school.. until she got feline leukemia :(

It’s so hard for me to decide. But I love my cats. My one cat we adopted from the vets office. He likes to act like he hates everyone, but he really does love us people (he’s sleeping at my feet as I type this). My other one showed up at my front door. She’s the most gorgeous calico cat I have ever seen. She’s super attached to me. She’s never more than 5 feet from me if I’m home.

I however love all my dogs. Basically I love all my animals.
