Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Edward DiCarlo

i would be willing to bet the only reason paypal sided with him is because he said it was a snake they wont deal with live animals
if you backed your paypal up with a bank card you can open a dispute with them they will work with you

I won't even do business with PayPal in the middle! Guess what, no more crybaby crap over $4.82 in fees to be argued over! I suggest others take heed with situations similar to this... They won't do squat for anybody, why have it around.
 
They didnt side with Edward on this...When I called a paypal representative about this, he said since ebay bought paypal a while back that they really only help the ebay buyers and even have an ebay buyers protection plan. But purchases that are done out side ebay and including live animals they do not cover...He told me I could open a dispute and that they would freeze the money in his account and if he doesnt contact payapl in 10 days then they would reverse the money back to me. Well of course he answered the dispute and once he did that they closed the case....I called paypal back and said that I email them all the evidence that showed that Edward Dicarlo sent a sickly snake, but the paypal rep said even though I was in the right since it was not an ebay purchase and because it was a live animal they wouldnt even look into the case....
He basically said that paypal does care about taking care of the buyers in any cases other than ebay purchases and that paypal wont even look into what happened in the dispute cases unless it an ebay transaction..
So watch out when paying thru paypal!!!

I've won several off-Ebay,Paypal, not-as-described cases. I'm going to ask them what's up, have they changed their policies.
 
Here is an up dated picture of the female moonglow that I took last night and Ive only had her 5 days..Look at the folds in her lower third of her body. This is not a picture of a very fine example of a moonglow as Edward DiCarlo put it in his ad!

no unfortunately with a snake that pucks its best to wait about 10 day before offering another meal and a real small one at that!
 
Well, I went put to check on her yesterday afternoon and I found her dead. Only had her 8 days and she died...This is the type of snake I received from Edward Dicarlo.

Not only am I out 1300.00 but he even started a thread..Bad Guy William Corwin because I told him that i was disappointed in this moonglow he sent and wanted to return it.

Looks like Edward DiCarlo UNLOADED this poor little moonglow just in time with only 8 days to spare!!

That is so sad! I am sorry this happened to you & sorry that poor snake lost her life due to the negligence of the seller.

He is truely a bad guy.
 
I'm sorry for your loss Bill, as I thought that she would pull though for you. I was really hoping this would get resolved, but since Edward hasn't even made any recent attempts to communicate it seems like this one will go down as a tough lesson.

I hope you still plan on working with moonglows! Also continue producing those killer carpets too!
 
I was just thinking, maybe a textbook 'flippers' ad should be displayed prominently.... This way some folks know kinda what they look like.

Words and mis-spelling's just like these are TEXTBOOK for receiving a 'basket case!' Just like Bill did!

I mean, seriously, you can't spell, read, write your language... How in the hell are you gonna get it right with something so tedious as a Reptile? :eek:

Oh that poor snake- I'm so sorry she didn't make it Bill. You have documentation of everything from Day 1- you can take Ed to small claims court to try to recoup your expenses. $1300 is a lot to lose, not to mention the slander and libel he's done slamming you for being unhappy with the snake. You should also probably get a necropsy done- I'm wondering what the greenish discoloration on the underside is.

Very sorry for your loss! He's obviously to big of a coward to come on here and defend himself or try to resolve the situation. This screams GUILTY in my eyes!!!

I'll add this guy to my list of people tol NEVER buy from.
 
This was so very sad to read and see what the end result was. I am so very sorry this happened to you =( I just started getting back into ball pythons about a year ago and I have learned the hard way to deal with people you know and trust, or take the time to ask around. It can be hard to tell sometimes though. What a bum deal. I really hope for the best out of this situation. It is a long shot but certainly would be nice to see!!!
